Surefire Broma Blocks Rodenticide controls rats and mice, including those resistant to other anticoagulants, in and around domestic, commercial, public services and industrial buildings. They combine the effectiveness of single-feed bromadiolone with PCT’s superior bait formulations, using local ingredients selected for local conditions, and are manufactured in Australia.

Surefire Broma Blocks Rodenticide uses a bromadiolone-based formulation featuring an enhanced blend of locally sourced food-grade materials which have been demonstrated as providing superior palatability and attractiveness to rodents. They also contain a powerful bittering agent to reduce the likelihood of accidental human consumption.

Broma Blocks are extruded wax blocks with an average weight of 15gm and packaged in sizes ranging from 150g & 1kg soft pouches through to 2.4kg & 8kg buckets.

Tips for using Surefire Broma Blocks Rodenticide.

Try not to touch the bait as this may deter rats and mice from eating it.
Please use gloves.
Usually, rats and mice die within 3 to 5 days after eating the bait.
If reinfestation should occur, you can repeat the treatment once. For further treatments, it is strongly advised to alternate with a product containing a different active ingredient to avoid the development of genetic resistance.
Broma Blocks are particularly useful in areas where baits deteriorate rapidly, such as damp areas, sub-floors, roof voids and wall cavities.
The hole in the centre of the block will allow pinning or tying off the ground in very moist areas, or where rodents are climbing.
The blocks may be used in conjunction with grain bait treatments.

What baiting strategy should be used for Surefire Broma Blocks Rodenticide;

Eliminate as far as practicable, all alternative food sources.
Bait the infested area.
Place baits undercover.
Inspect baits daily.
Replace eaten baits.
If eaten quickly, increase the number of baits.
Continue observation and replenishment until no more baits are taken.
Baiting for 2 weeks is necessary to reduce rat/mouse numbers.

Directions Of Use

Situation: In and around domestic homes, industrial and commercial buildings, animal houses, farms, wharves, public service buildings, food factories, hospitals, inside transport vehicles (including ships and around grain terminals)

Pest: Rats (Rattus norvegicus, Rattus rattus)

Rate: 4 or more blocks per bait station

Pest: Mice (Mus musculus)

Rate: 2 to 4 blocks per infested area

Rodenticides made from Bromadiolone (like Surefire Broma Blocks) are not considered a lower risk of secondary poisoning to pets and other animals.

Bromadiolone is a single-dose anticoagulant and is considered toxic as a day's feeding can deliver a poisonous dose. Because it can take a rodent several days to die, animals that consume a lethal dose may continue to eat the bait before they die. Mammals (including dogs), birds and other wildlife that eat poisoned rodents may receive a lethal dose. Rodenticides made from Bromadiolone have a high secondary poisoning risk to birds and mammals (including dogs). If you are looking for rodenticides with lower secondary poisoning risks, then products made from Coumatetralyl (i.e. Racumin or Surefire Couma Blocks) or Difenacoum (Surefire Difenate) are recommended. These products are still poisons, and secondary poisoning can still occur.

Tips For Use

Restraints:

Do not exceed 3 m between bait stations for mice or 9m for rats.
Do not place bait stations in the open.

General Instructions:

Determine areas where rats and/or mice will most likely find and consume the bait.
Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed openings in or beside burrows, in corners and concealed places between floors and walls or in locations where rodents or their signs have been observed.
Protect bait from rain or moisture.
Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately.
To prevent reinfestation, eliminate food, water and harbourage as much as possible.
If reinfestation should occur, repeat treatment.
Where a continuous source of reinfestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish bait as needed.
Collect and dispose of all dead rodents and unconsumed bait properly. Baiting for at least two weeks is necessary to reduce rat/mouse numbers.

Precaution:

Keep out of reach of children.
Do not allow the bait to contaminate foodstuffs or feed intended for human or animal consumption.
Do not apply bait to crops.
Do not place in positions where there is a possibility of contaminating food or surfaces that come into direct contact with food.
The product is restricted to use in and around buildings (within 2 metres) or enclosed spaces.

Storage:

Store in a tightly closed, original container in a dry well-ventilated area, as cool as possible out of direct sunlight.

Safety Directions:

Poisonous if absorbed by skin contact or swallowed.
Repeated minor exposure may have a cumulative poisoning effect.
Avoid contact with skin.
When preparing the product for use, wear elbow-length PVC gloves.
If on the skin and after each baiting, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
After each day’s use wash gloves.
