I’ve always wanted to have my own business and after working in the agricultural sector for many years I thought it’s now or never. So I started Specialist Sales in 2002 part-time and then decided to bite the bullet in 2004 and dive straight into it. At the time it was a massive risk, but I wasn’t going to die wondering! Raised on a mixed farming property in Central NSW, I always saw myself working in the ag sector. After completing a Business degree majoring in agricultural commerce at the University of Sydney (Orange), I’ve worked in many agricultural enterprises prior to starting Specialist Sales including animal health, seed, turf and broadacre crop protection. This has allowed me to gain experience and knowledge about the products we sell. In early 2000 I realised there was a huge opportunity to create an online presence for rural producers, allowing them to access a vast range of products. This was something no one had successfully done before in agriculture and I was keen to give it a go. We thrive on the challenge this has created. Specialist Sales has now grown into a fully operational e-commerce site and customer service centre. People can now shop 24/7 with the convenience of conducting business online or over the phone. When I’m not thinking about Specialist Sales, I like to unwind by watching footy, cricket, horse racing, gardening and spending time with the family.

Even though Cameron and I started Specialist Sales more than 20 years ago, I only joined the team full time in 2016. The business was rapidly growing and the need for someone to take on marketing, HR and workplace health and safety became apparent. I have worked in the agricultural industry for more than 20 years and I was raised on a broadacre property in northern NSW. I studied Agricultural Economics at UNE Armidale and have worked in agriculture, education and the disability sectors in marketing, communications and business strategy. Cameron and I have always wanted to own our own business and we have worked hard to see it grow over a decade and a half. Our greatest strength is our staff, we have a terrific team who support us in achieving our vision. They are customer service focused and enjoy their interactions with our loyal customers. They have shown the capacity to grow and change with us and that has supported our business over time.

Harrison joined Specialist Sales in May 2026 as our Business Operations Manager, bringing a wealth of experience in large-scale warehousing and retail operations. Originally from Mount Isa, Harrison has called Toowoomba home since 2004 and is proud to be part of a locally-owned Queensland business. With an MBA completed in 2023, Harrison combines sharp business acumen with hands-on operational know-how. He's accountable for the end-to-end performance of the business, from supply chain and inventory management to team development and continuous improvement, and brings a direct, results-driven approach to everything he does. When he's not streamlining operations at Specialist Sales, you'll find Harrison in the backyard obsessing over his lawn, elbow-deep in an air-cooled Volkswagen restoration, or spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Ash joined the Specialist Sales team in June 2026 as our Customer Service Coordinator, bringing plenty of energy and know-how to the role. Having grown up on a cattle farm in Far North Queensland, Ash has agriculture in his blood, along with a genuine love for quality, farm-to-table produce. With 15 years' experience spanning customer service, business management, marketing, and policy development, Ash brings a well-rounded skill set to the role. After some time away, he's thrilled to be back in the agricultural space where his heart has always been, and he can't wait to put his experience to work for our customers. Outside the office, you'll usually find Ash experimenting with new recipes for family and friends, or elbow-deep in the garden. He loves the challenge of working with a diverse team and is looking forward to mentoring our customer service crew, helping keep our standards high when it comes to customer experience and product know-how.

Reanna joined our Specialist Sales team in February 2026 as a Customer Service Officer and has quickly become a valued member. With a background in administration and warehousing, Reanna brings strong administrative skills and customer service experience to our team. A quick learner with a strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for agriculture, Reanna brings the perfect combination of skill and enthusiasm to her role. She's known for her calm, friendly nature, always ready to go the extra mile to ensure our customers have the best experience with our business. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find Reanna spending time with her family and friends or spending time cooking and trying new recipes.

Laney joined the Specialist Sales team in 2026 after deciding to make a career change into agriculture. Coming from a rural area, she has a real affinity for the industry and is the friendly face helping customers with phone enquiries, walk-ins, emails, and website queries, always finding the right product for their needs. Outside of work, Laney enjoys hitting the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Amelia joined the Specialist Sales team in 2025 after deciding to move from New Zealand to Australia, where she had been working part-time at a rural merchandise store. Amelia is studying agricultural science part-time and demonstrates a real affinity for the industry. She is one of the friendly faces helping customers with phone enquiries, walk-ins, emails, and website queries, always finding the right product for their needs. Outside of work, Amelia enjoys travelling, going to the races, and spending time with family and friends.

Isla joined the Specialist Sales team as our Customer Service Officer, bringing a genuine passion for customer care to the role. Whether it's a phone call, walk-in, email, or website query, she's the friendly face making sure every customer gets the help they need. Currently studying Agrisciences with a focus on animal health and welfare, Isla joined Specialist Sales to deepen her understanding of agribusiness and the industry's demands. A fast learner with a knack for getting to the heart of what customers need, she's quickly becoming a go-to for great service. Outside of work, Isla enjoys dancing and reading, and loves getting to know the people behind every enquiry.

Jordan joined the Specialist Sales team in 2024, relocating to Queensland from Western Australia to bring her talents to our customer service team. In her role spanning logistics and customer support, Jordan is the vital link between our customer service and warehouse teams, ensuring every order moves smoothly from confirmation to dispatch. Her meticulous attention to detail means shipping information reaches our warehouse promptly, keeping dispatch times fast and reliable. Jordan is also quick to follow up on customer order enquiries, giving our customers the confidence that their orders are in good hands from start to finish. Outside of work, Jordan enjoys spending time with her partner and her blue heeler, and can often be found out riding her motorcycle.

Christin is our accounts officer who is a guru with numbers. She joined the Specialist Sales team in 2025 after moving to Australia from New Zealand. Christin is a valued member of our team, and has a background in accounts administration. Christin supports our customer service and warehouse teams in relation to invoicing and purchasing administration, goods inwards and out, stock control, reconciliations and other accounting functions. In her downtime, Christin loves to spend time with her family and her church community.

Steve is one of our warehouse team members who started with us in 2021. After a career in the mining industry, Steve decided on a career change and moved into warehousing. Steve has embraced his new career and is now a valuable part of the Specialist Sales team. Greg, is a vital member of our warehouse team and started with Specialist Sales in 2022. Greg has a background in mining and warehousing before having a career change to rural merchandise. Greg has enthusiastically embraced this career change and has become a vital Specialist Sales team member. Steve is vital member of our warehouse team and came to Specialist Sales in 2023 with a background in bakery and disability services before having a career change to warehousing. Steve has enthusiastically embraced this change and has become a vital Specialist Sales team member. When your order arrives well-packaged and quickly, Steve is one of the team members that make the magic happen. In his spare time, Steve enjoys Dungeons and Dragons Role Playing, walking his dog, and gardening.

Nick joined Specialist Sales in 2026 after working for Australia Post delivering parcels to businesses and working in their local distribution centre. With his background in logistics and warehousing Nick was a natural fit for Specialist Sales. When your order arrives well-packaged and quickly, Nick is one of the team members that make the magic happen. When he's not at work Nick like to ride his motorbike and spend time with family and friends.
