    I have a large paddock area to spray, and I’m using a back pack sprayer. To help I’m using the dye to track where I have just been.

    My wife is also using it when spraying blackberries and also finds it helpful to be able to see what has been sprayed.

Directions Of Use

Mixing Rates:

General Spraying:

  • 10mL – 15mL per 10L (100mL – 150mL per 100L) Spray Solution: Typically use the rate indicated. A lower (half) rate may be sufficient to mark pale surfaces.
  • 40-80mL per 100L of diluted foram marking mixture: Converts white foam to pale or deep pink for clearer identification on pale surfaces.

Turf:

  • 600 – 1000mL per Ha: For boom applications to parks, ovals and fairways
  • 6-10mL per 100sqm:  For Greens
  • 30mL per 5Litre:  For back packs and hand application.

    BioDye Red Liquid Marking Dye is non-toxic and biodegradable.  The SDS states the product use is 'a tank-mix red dye additive to assist in identifying areas sprayed with pesticide and suppress aquatic weeds and algae when applied to ponds and lakes.'  Providing the herbicide BioDye is being mixed with is registered for use in waterways (non-potable water), it is fine to be included in the mix.

Tips For Use

Mixing Instructions:

  • To achieve thorough mixing premix BioDye Red Liquid Marking Dye with water in ratio 1: 10 before addition to spray tank or knapsack.
  • Add premixed solution to spray tank or knapsack first and agitate or mix thoroughly before adding any other products.
  • Wash out all spraying equipment thoroughly after use as product residue can cause discolouration of subsequent sprays.

Directions for Use:

  • Spray Marking: Suitable for use with pesticide spray solutions to enable clear identification of sprayed areas.
  • Foam Markers: Suitable for use with white foam marking solutions where a contrasting colour is required.

Safety Directions:

  • Do not swallow.
  • Avoid contact with skin or eyes.
  • Wear rubber gloves, overalls and goggles or face shield.
  • Wash hands with soap and water after use. 

First Aid:

  • If poisoning occurs give plenty of water to drink and seek medical assistance. If skin contact occurs remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. If in eyes, hold eyes open and flood with water at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.
