Woody Weeds: the label covers an extensive list of weeds and a range of application techniques including high volume, boom spray, aerial (helicopter only), low volume high concentrate (gas gun) and uses on tolerant grass pastures/pasture renovation. Salve is an economical first strike for graziers and land managers with extensive infestations of blackberry.
Winter cereals and fallow: Salve also offers broadacre growers in the northern grain region a residual tank mix product for use in winter cereals and fallow sprays.
Can I still buy Stinger Herbicide:
- Stinger Herbicide was discontinued by Dow Agrosciences (Corteva) in 2019. Stinger Herbicide is no longer registered with the APVMA for sale in Australia.
How does Salve Herbicide Herbicide Work?
Salve contains two active ingredients which belong to the pyridine group (Group I herbicides) and sulfonylurea group (Group B herbicides). The product has the disrupters of plant cell growth mode of action (auxin inhibitors) combined with the ALS inhibition mode of action.
Defoliation of regrowth may take several weeks depending on growth conditions at the time of application and final results can take 18 months.
