Tips For Use

Important Points:

NJ Phillips 5mL Metal Automatic Injector / Vaccinator Cleaning & Storage:

Do not store your applicator or feed tube full of product.  To ensure long service from this applicator it should be properly cleaned and stored after use.

• After use empty the remaining product and dispose of it appropriately.
• Flush through with warm, soapy water, drawing through the applicator feed tube or bottle attachment.
• The flush through with clean water.  Expel any excess water.
• Before storing, disconnect the feed tube and inject a small quantity of lubricant into the inlet.  Operate the gun several times until the lubricant appears in the barrel and the seals are lubricated.
• Dry the outside surfaces of the applicator and store in a plastic bag in a safe place of the reach of children

Care and maintenance after use:

• Remove all traces of material from the instrument by flushing thoroughly with a hot water detergent mix.  Follow with clean, warm water.
• Disconnect the feed tube from the hand piece and place inlet fitting in lubricant, allowing a small quantity of lubricant to be pumped through the hand piece.
• Store with the dose set at 2-mL.  This is most important as  after being stored for some time the piston washers may adhere to the cylinder.  Setting the dose to 2-mL does not allow sufficient stroke to damage the washer when the instrument is worked for the next use.
