Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide

Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide is a non-selective, non-residual, water-soluble liquid herbicide containing 540 g/L glyphosate present as the potassium salt.

It controls a broad range of annual grasses, perennial grasses, and broadleaf weeds across agricultural fallow, conservation tillage, pasture renovation, tree and vine crops, forestry, and commercial or domestic situations. The product is absorbed through foliage and green stems and translocates into the root system, providing whole-plant knockdown without soil residual activity. It is compatible with a wide range of tank-mix herbicides and adjuvants, and it is suitable for boom, handgun, knapsack, wiper, and aerial application methods.

Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide EVICT 540 GLYPHOSATE Weed Force

Description

Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide contains 540 g/L glyphosate present as the potassium salt. At this concentration, it delivers non-selective Group 9 knockdown of many annual and perennial weeds across agricultural and non-agricultural situations. The potassium salt formulation dissolves readily in water. Foliage and green stems absorb it quickly, and it moves through the plant into the root system. Annual weeds show visible effects within 3 to 7 days. Perennial weeds may take 2 to 3 weeks under cool or overcast conditions.

Weedforce Pty Ltd manufactures and registers Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide. The product suits pre-sowing fallow preparation, conservation tillage, and pasture renovation. It also covers orchard and vineyard under-row management, forestry site preparation, and industrial and commercial weed control. It carries no residual soil activity, so there is no carryover risk to subsequent crops or pastures. Producers can tank-mix it with approved residual herbicides to extend control, following all label directions.

Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide: Crops and Situations

The label covers a wide range of cropping systems. In southern Australia, it controls barley grass, brome grass, wild oats, annual ryegrass, silvergrass, capeweed, Paterson’s curse, and several thistles in conservation tillage and fallow. In northern Australia, the label covers cotton (shielded sprayer), sorghum, sugar cane, and pre-harvest desiccation of wheat, legumes, and chickpeas. For domestic, commercial, and industrial areas, mix at 7 mL per litre of water and apply to wet foliage thoroughly.

Adjuvants and Tank Mixing

It tank-mixes with 2,4-D ester, atrazine, dicamba, triclopyr, chlorsulfuron, and metsulfuron-methyl, among other registered herbicides. For bracken and woody weed situations, add Weed Force Holdfast Organosilicone Penetrant and Wetting Agent at 200–500 mL/100 L. For silvergrass and annual ryegrass in late winter or spring, add a registered non-ionic surfactant containing 1040 g/L octyl phenol ethoxylate at 200 mL/100 L.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How quickly does Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide work?

A: On annual weeds, initial visible symptoms appear within 3 to 7 days. On perennial weeds or under cool or overcast conditions, full browning may take 2 to 3 weeks.

Q: Can I graze stock after application?

A: No withholding period for grazing applies. However, delay the grazing of treated plants to allow full herbicide uptake. For naturally toxic species such as soursob, variegated thistle, sorghum, and Johnson grass, delay grazing until complete browning occurs.

Q: What water quality affects performance?

A: Suspended clay, organic matter, or high levels of calcium, magnesium, or bicarbonate ions reduce efficacy. Use clean water and add Spraymate Liase (ammonium sulphate) at 2 L/100 L spray solution when water quality is poor.

Q: How soon after spraying can I sow a crop?

A: Cultivation or planting can start from 1 hour of daylight after treating seedling annual weeds, given suitable seedbed conditions. For perennial weed situations, delay sowing for at least 14 days.

Q: Is Weed Force Evict 540 registered for use in tree and vine crops?

A: Yes. Apply it as a directed or shielded spray, or use wiper equipment, across a range of tree and vine crops. These include avocado, banana, citrus, mango, olives, pome fruit, stone fruit, and vineyards. Do not allow spray or spray drift to contact green bark, foliage, or fruit.

Tips For Use

Restraints

  • Do not disturb treated weeds by cultivation, sowing, or grazing for 6 hours of daylight after treating annual weeds and 7 days after treating perennial weeds, unless otherwise specified.
  • Do not apply to weeds growing in or over water. Do not spray across open bodies of water.
  • Do not allow water to return to dry channels and drains within 4 days of application.
  • Do not apply to agricultural land prior to transplanting tomato seedlings.

Mixing Instructions

  • Fill the spray tank to half capacity with clean water and start agitation before adding any products.
  • Where water quality is poor (high calcium, magnesium, or bicarbonate), add Spraymate Liase (ammonium sulphate) at 2 L/100 L spray solution first.
  • Add the required herbicide or insecticide, then add Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide, followed by the remaining water.
  • Add any surfactant near the end of filling to minimise foaming.
  • Do not mix, store, or apply this product in galvanised steel or unlined steel containers; use stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, fibreglass, or plastic-lined tanks.

Adjuvant Use

  • For silvergrass and annual ryegrass in late winter and spring: add a registered non-ionic surfactant containing 1040 g/L octyl phenol ethoxylate at 200 mL/100 L.
  • For bracken and many woody weeds: add Weed Force Holdfast Organosilicone Penetrant and Wetting Agent at 200–500 mL/100 L.
  • Octyl phenol ethoxylate surfactants are not general-purpose wetters; use them only where the label recommends.

Application Checklist

  • Apply treatments to weeds that have at least one true leaf (broadleaf weeds) or two leaves (grasses).
  • If heavy grazing has occurred, allow regrowth to 6–8 cm before spraying and use the higher recommended rates.
  • Do not apply under very light winds (below 4 km/h) or inversion conditions, or where wind speeds exceed 12 km/h.
  • For boom spray, use medium to medium-coarse droplets (BCPC standard); avoid very fine or fine droplets.

Resistance Weed Warning

  • Weed Force Evict 540 Potassium Salt Herbicide is a Group 9 herbicide that inhibits EPSP synthase. Naturally occurring resistant biotypes may exist. Rotate modes of action and implement an integrated weed management programme to delay resistance development.

Protection of Crops, Native and Other Non-Target Plants

  • Avoid contact with foliage, green bark, stems, canes, laterals, suckers, fresh wounds, exposed roots, flowers, or fruit of desirable plants.
  • Do not apply under conditions likely to cause drift onto susceptible crops, pastures, or sensitive plants.

Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans and the Environment

  • Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or watercourses with this product or used containers.

Storage

  • Store in the original closed container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
