Foam Stop Defoaming Agent is a special purpose food grade defoaming agent & suppressant of foam build-up for use in agricultural chemical sprayers and also for use in dip tanks commonly used in the grading of pome and stone fruit. Foam Stop is recommended for use in situations where agricultural formulations and surfactants are under agitation during tank filling and large amounts of foam can form. Foam Stop should be added to the tank before foam levels build to excess so that filling can continue.
Foam Stop Defoaming Agent contains the active ingredient Polydimethylsiloxane Compound. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) belongs to a group of polymeric organosilicon compounds that are commonly referred to as silicones. PDMS is optically clear, and, in general, inert, non-toxic, and non-flammable.

Is there a difference between an antifoam and a defoamer?
The difference between an antifoam and a defoamer is that antifoam agents can prevent foam from forming, whereas defoamers can control the amount of existing foam. Therefore, antifoams reduce foam formation while defoamers reduce existing foam. Defoamer will be used in situations when foam already appears and needs to be eliminated or reduced.
