Description

Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant

Active Ingredient: Nonyl Phenol Ethylene Oxide Condensate @ 600g/L

Similar Or Comparable to Agral Spray Adjuvant (Syngenta) & Cropwett Wetter 600 Surfactant (SST)

Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant is a spray additive designed for use with herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and other weed control pesticides.  Made from Nonyl Phenol Ethylene Oxide Condensate, Reactor Wetter 600 is used to increase the activity of pesticides and to increase the spray droplet coverage for waxy leafed plants which are normally hard to wet.  It increases the activity and efficiency of pesticides and herbicides plus increases wetting and improves spray coverage.  Reactor Wetter 600 can be used with alkaline sprays and mixes easily with all types of water and is registered for use as both a spreader spray & wetting agent.

Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant for use with weed-killing sprays:
Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant should be added to all post-emergence herbicide sprays to increase their efficiency except for those which are known to contain adequate wetting agents in the formulation. Wetter should be added only where directed on individual labels as use with selective herbicides outside label directions may reduce crop selectively. For foliar active herbicides spray to the point where leaves and stems are just wet. Spraying beyond this will encourage run-off, with obvious loss of spray chemicals. When spraying waxy or hairy leafed plants which are normally hard to wet, increased activity will be obtained by increasing the rate of Reactor 600. It is important that the leaves and stems are thoroughly wetted for foliar herbicides to work efficiently, particularly when treating dense, tall vegetation.

Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant for use with Horticultural Sprays:
Add Reactor 600 at 10mL per 100L of spray (2mL per 15L knapsack) to all horticultural sprays except those known to include adequate wetting agents in the formulation. Increased activity will be obtained by increasing the rate for waxy leafed plants which are normally hard to wet. It is important to spray only to the point of wetness. Excessive use of wetting agents can cause runoff of active ingredients with consequent loss of efficiency.

What types of spraying equipment is Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant suitable to be used with;

  • High volume power spray
  • Low volume boom spray
  • Misting machines
  • Knapsack
  • Boom spray
  • Water tankers

Although Surefire Buffalo, Bindi & Broadleaf Weedkiller does not specify that a wetting agent is required when spraying turf, better results are expected if you add a non-ionic surfactant such as Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant.

  2. What is the shelf-life of Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant concentrated/undiluted and diluted?

  3. Q What is the shelf-life of Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant concentrated/undiluted and diluted?
Asked by John on January 7, 2024 4:49 pm
    Answered by the admin

Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant has no best-before or expiry date in its concentrated form. The best practice is to use Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant within approximately 3-5 years from the manufacture date. Once mixed with a pesticide, Reactor Wetter 600 Surfactant should be used immediately and not stored overnight. If tank mixes are stored longer than this period, they 'may' deteriorate and lose efficacy. There is no fixed timeline for when or if tank mixes deteriorate.
