Description
Irrigate Soil Surfactant
Active Ingredients: 180g/L Blended Ethylene, Propylene And Glucose Co-polymers. Also Contains 93 g/L Available Carbon.
Similar or comparable to Retain Pro Wetter – Soil Moisture Retention (Floratine)
IrriGate Soil Surfactant is a blend of co-polymers which mixes easily with all types of irrigation water. It contains both hydrophilic and hydrophobic soil surfactants which improve water movement and aid in the adhesion to hydrophobic soil. Â
It is a specialized soil surfactant which enables growers to improve infiltration and penetration of water in certain hydrophobic soils and improve the lateral movement of water to more effectively cover the plants root zone. It also reduces water lost to run-off and evaporation, improving the efficiency of irrigation. Irrigate is not a PAM (Poly Acrylamide).
IrriGate Soil Surfactant is a specifically formulated soil surfactant that enhances infiltration and penetration of irrigation water and rainfall in permanent and seasonal crops. It is a blend of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic block copolymers which improve water movement and aid in adhesion to hydrophobic soil.
IrriGate Soil Surfactant is ideal for use in turf, sports fields, centre pivot / lateral operations, orchards, vineyards, and vegetables.
What Does Irrigate Do?
IrriGate is a specialised soil surfactant. It enables growers to improve infiltration and penetration of water in certain hydrophobic soils and improve the lateral movement of water to more effectively cover the plants root zone. IrriGate also reduces water loss due to run-off and evaporation, improving the efficiency of irrigation by up to 30%.
Irrigates Mode of Action:
The polymers in IrriGate enable the water molecule to adhere to hydrophobic soil particles and therefore enhance their capacity to absorb water. This action then creates a more uniform wetting of the root zone and allows moisture to move more freely throughout the soil profile

Living in Perth with aquaphobic sand, I have tried various products. This is by far the best, and won’t use anything less. It goes a long way compared to the “less costly” stuff from your local hardware store. In the long run, it works out far more effective, not just as a soil wetter, but costwise.
