The nutrients in Landscaper Pro New Grass Fertiliser, including 20% nitrogen and 8.7% phosphate, encourage young seedlings in new grass to grow rapidly into a well-balanced, dense sward. But it’s also great for overseeding as the mini-granules ensure optimum nutrient distribution, and it doesn’t damage vulnerable roots. New Grass lasts for up to 3 months after application.

The technology involves coating fertiliser granules with a layer of sulphur, which then undergoes a unique degradation process facilitated by microorganisms in the soil. This process ensures a steady and efficient nutrient release, promoting robust plant growth and minimising environmental impact.

Dual Coating: Poly-S utilises a dual-layer coating: a sulphur layer followed by a degradable polymer membrane.
Microbial Activation: The release of nutrients is triggered by microorganisms in the soil and water, not by temperature changes.
Consistent Release: The technology provides a consistent and even nutrient release, reducing the risk of nutrient loss through leaching and ensuring a steady supply for plants.

Poly-S uses a polymer and sulphur coating to regulate nitrogen release to suit plant demand. Nitrogen granules are coated first with sulphur (a plant nutrient in itself) and a unique, degradable polymer membrane. Nitrogen is released once moisture permeates the outer polymer membrane and the sulphur coating. Depending on the thickness of the coating, this can last up to six months. Major increases in soil temperature and/or moisture do not create severe fluctuations in this release pattern. This ensures that Poly-S provides non-surge growth and a healthy, green turf even in warm, wet conditions. Because nutrient uptake is so efficient, the risk of leaching is reduced.

Working Principal of Poly-S Technology.

Moisture penetrates the coating and dissolves the nutrient core.
Bacteria convert sulphur to sulphate while the nutrient solution starts releasing.
Nutrient solution continues to release through the Poly-S coating as soil temperature rises.
Once the nutrient is fully released, only a minor sulphur coating remains and begins to decay.

Tips For Use

Suggested application rate: Apply evenly at the rate of 35g/m² (3.5kg/100 m²)

Application Tips:

Suitable for all lawn species including buffalo, all couch grass types, kikuyu and cool season grasses such as rye and fescues.
Apply directly to dry foliage.
Following application, watering-in helps dispersion and boosts the immediate effect.
Do not apply during drought or frosty conditions.
Avoid applying when temperatures exceed 30 °C.
You should apply following the completion of aeration programs, including scarification, slitting and/or hollow timing to prevent damage to the granules.
Properly seal partly used or damaged bags.
Store under dry conditions.
