Calf Weanaid with Protexin and Moneco has 12 vitamins and 10 minerals to boost the levels provided by whole milk or milk replacer to be comparable to colostrum. The ability of the calf to synthesise some vitamins and minerals in the rumen is limited initially, however, develops rapidly when solid feed is introduced into the ration.

Protexin is included to maximise growth rates and protect calves from scour-inducing bacteria including E. coli, Salmonella and Aeromonas. The beneficial bacteria in Protexin help calves to quickly establish a healthy population of gut microflora, which, in turn, helps protect them from overgrowth of harmful strains, as well as aiding in digestive efficiency and improving utilisation of feed. Protexin helps improve growth rates, feed conversion and enhances health naturally.
Protexin is non-hormonal, environmentally safe, residue free and has a nil withholding period. Moneco benefits in prevention of coccidiosis by improving a natural immuno-responsiveness to coccidia, and increased weight gains in calves.
Calf Weanaid with Protexin and Moneco may be mixed into hard feed for six months after weaning to continue its effect on growth, digestive function and feed utilisation.

I purchased this product because of it’s ability to help prevent coccidiosis in calves. Since using it I have only lost one calf with this disease and one actually recovered from it as well.
