Iodine Antiseptic Solution 10% is a strong general-purpose antiseptic and disinfectant designed expressly for animal husbandry purposes. When used as an antiseptic agent, it is superior for use in dressing wounds and preventing skin infections caused by bacteria and fungi. Iodine Antiseptic Solution works to control topical infection of the skin, keeping wounds dry and covered with a protective residue film of iodine to provide prolonged activity.

Iodine 10% is a strong formulation, with 10 times more active ingredients than many other Iodine Solutions on the Australian market.

Iodine is a compound that kills bacteria and fungus in a quick and effective manner. This spray or solution can be used to treat bacterial skin infections and fungal infections such as ringworm. It can also prevent infection in cuts and wounds (however can be painful in open skin). Iodine is an antibacterial and antifungal solution, for use in topical infections, wounds, and treatment of ringworm.

Iodine Antiseptic Solution 10% kills gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa, and yeasts. It is film-forming, virtually non-irritating and non-staining to skin, hair, and natural fabrics. Iodine is a highly effective topical antimicrobial that has been used in the treatment of wounds for more than 100 years. It has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity with efficacy against bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses and can be used to treat both acute and chronic wounds in animals.

Iodine Antiseptic Solution can also be used in animal husbandry situations as a preoperative antiseptic scrub for skin and hands, wound cleaning and treatment of burns.

Directions Of Use

Tips For Use

Restraints:

Iodine Antiseptic Solution 10% is not for human therapeutic use or the sterilisation of instruments for human use.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, flammable liquid storage area.
Avoid direct sunlight.

Safety:

If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water.
If in the eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water. Continue flushing until advised to stop by the Poisons Information Centre or a doctor, or for at least 15 minutes.
Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact.
Avoid eye contact.
Avoid breathing vapour
