Directions Of Use
Remove the existing nozzle from your applicator then connect the adapter (supplied) and secure using the nozzle nut (supplied).
If using the 20mL Drencher use the existing nozzle nut on your device.
Hold the animal gently with the head horizontal.
Carefully introduce the nozzle of the drenching gun into the side of the mouth and over the back of the tongue.
Administer the drench and withdraw the gun or hook drencher.
Ensure that the animal swallows before it is released.
Check accuracy of gun again after drenching 200 animals.
Marking treated animals ensures none are missed.
Do not rush.
This is a skilled job and rushing or cutting corners will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
Drench gun injuries to the throat, or drench that enters the lungs, can be fatal.
If using a ‘hook’ in larger cattle, take care to avoid damage to mouths, and ensure each animal swallowsthe full dose.

Tips For Use
Drench Gun Cleaning Instructions Post Drenching:
Wash out/squirt through tubing and drench guns.
Dismantle guns and carefully wash barrel with warm water and detergent.
Rinse thoroughly.
Check valves for foreign material.
Lubricate barrel using recommended oil.
Reassemble gun carefully ensuring washers are not damaged and valves are correct way around (springs always face nozzle end).
If anything is obviously broken fix immediately.
Faulty Equipment:
The valves of a drench gun are critical to accuracy and can fail to seal properly.
The inlet valve is situated at the rear of the gun- the delivery valve is at the nozzle end – check both of these for foreign material.
Also check for leaks around all connection points and caps.
In particular, look out for:
Drench dripping from the nozzle – usually caused by poor sealing of delivery valve.
Air bubbles – possible causes include cracks or holes in hose, worn ‘O’ rings or delivery value not functioning.
After Drenching:
Return unused drench to original container because light can degrade some chemicals and reduce their effectiveness.
Clean all equipment, including the backpack, following the manufacturer’s instructions. In some cases, rinsing with water will not be sufficient. Replace any damaged items.
At regular intervals, dismantle and thoroughly clean drenching guns).
Consider monitoring the effectiveness of your : drenching technique, your drench or your drenching programme by Faecal Egg Counts at appropriate times.
Record drench usage in appropriate documentation system.

IMPORTANT: Large items, or items not accepted by Australia Post will be sent via courier / general transport.
If you are outside normal courier delivery areas or have never had a courier deliver goods to your address, we need a delivery address that the order can be delivered to.
This may be an in town residential or business address such as a service station, tyre repair service, general store, transport depot, mechanic, etc where you are known.
Most courier companies require a signature before completing their delivery. If a signature is not obtained often a calling card is left and the parcel returned to the couriers depot to be collected or
redelivered at a later date (redelivery fees may apply). If you do not give authority to leave without a signature, ensure someone will be onsite to take delivery as redelivery fees may apply.
