Description
Weed Force Weed Stop Herbicide: Soil Residual Weed Control for Non-Crop Areas
Weed Force Weed Stop Herbicide is a Group B/C soil residual herbicide combining 880 g/kg Terbacil with 40 g/kg Sulfometuron Methyl. Additionally, this dual-active product delivers pre-emergence and post-emergence control against annual and perennial weeds across commercial, industrial, and non-crop areas. Because Weed Stop creates a soil barrier, it suppresses target weeds for up to nine months from a single application.
As a water-dispersible granule, Weed Stop mixes readily in water for application by handgun or boom spray. Weed Force Pty Ltd recommends applying it to moist, bare soil, since dry soil reduces weed uptake of the active. When established weeds are present, tank mixing with a suitable glyphosate herbicide adds immediate knockdown alongside long-term residual control.

Frequently Asked Questions
What weeds does Weed Force Weed Stop Herbicide control?
In total, Weed Stop controls six key annual and perennial weeds: Annual Ryegrass (Lolium rigidum), Capeweed (Arctotheca calendula), Geranium (Geranium sp.), Sow Thistle (Sonchus oleraceus L.), White Clover (Trifolium repens), and Yorkshire Fog Grass (Holcus lanatus).
How long does Weed Stop provide weed control?
Under ideal conditions, Weed Stop delivers up to nine months of residual weed control. However, duration varies with soil texture, organic matter content, soil pH, and rainfall. Best results occur when applied to moist, bare soil with good soil contact.
Can Weed Stop be tank mixed with glyphosate?
Yes. Additionally, when established weeds are present, add a suitable glyphosate product to the tank mix. Glyphosate kills existing growth, while Weed Stop creates a soil barrier to prevent further germination.
Where is Weed Stop Herbicide registered for use?
Weed Stop for commercial and industrial areas, around agricultural buildings, fencelines, rights of way, roadsides, guide posts, powerlines and substations, aerodromes, and public utilities. It also covers pre-plant use in E. globulus and E. nitens plantations (selected states only).
Is Weed Stop safe to use near trees?
Overall, field trials show that major forestry species tolerate Weed Stop at label rates. However, do not apply near desirable trees or plants, or on areas where roots may extend. As guidance, the exclusion zone should be at least twice the height of any adjacent tree.
