Big Foot Blue Spray Colourant is a concentrated blue indicator dye from Barmac (Amgrow).

It contains 93 g/L sulphonated aromatic acid dye and suits all water-based spray mixtures. Add it to herbicide, fungicide, insecticide or fertiliser sprays to see exactly where you have sprayed. As a result, you avoid overlap and respraying, which saves chemicals. It also enhances turf colour at 6 to 10 mL per 100 m².

Big Foot Blue Spray Colourant contains 93 g/L sulphonated aromatic acid dye. It is a concentrated blue indicator dye for pesticide and fertiliser sprays on turf and agricultural areas. As a result, operators can clearly see where the spray has gone. Barmac Pty Ltd supplies Big Foot. Big Foot is not an APVMA registered product.

How Big Foot Blue Spray Colourant saves chemicals

The dye suits all water-based spray mixtures. For example, it mixes with most herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and fertilisers. Because the blue colour marks each pass, operators can avoid overlapping spray runs. In addition, they avoid respraying areas they have already treated. Consequently, the dye cuts wasted chemical.

Big Foot is non-staining and washes off skin and equipment. Over time, sunlight and water fade the colour from sprayed areas. However, it may discolour masonry, brick and concrete. Therefore, keep it off these surfaces.

Big Foot works in boom sprays, hand sprayers and knapsacks. In addition, turf managers can use it to lift turf colour in dry conditions.

A. Take care around hard surfaces. The label warns that the dye may discolour masonry, brick and concrete. Therefore, avoid spraying these areas. If spray lands on them, wash it off before it dries. Also, pools are not a labelled use for Big Foot.

Q. What should I do if Big Foot Blue spills near a stormwater drain?

A. Clean up the spill straight away. First, contain it and stop runoff into drains and waterways. Next, soak it up with soil, sand or another inert material. Then seal it in labelled containers for disposal.

Q. Is Big Foot Blue comparable to Envirodye Blue or Blue Vegetable Marker Dye?

A. Yes. All three are blue liquid marker dyes for water-based sprays. All three also come in 1, 5 and 20 litre packs. Envirodye Blue contains 90 g/L sulphonated aromatic acid dye, close to Big Foot at 93 g/L. By contrast, Blue Vegetable Marker Dye uses a diazo dye preparation. The main difference is the supplier. Barmac (Amgrow) supplies Big Foot, while DKSH Agrisolutions supplies Envirodye Blue. Meanwhile, Titan Ag supplies Blue Vegetable Marker Dye. Envirodye Blue and Blue Vegetable Marker Dye also list foam marker rates, but the Big Foot label does not. Always compare the labels before you substitute one for another.

General Instructions

Mixing: Barmac Bigfoot is only suitable for mixing with water-based spray solutions.
Follow mixing instructions on the label of the pesticide or fertiliser product, and unless indicated differently, add Barmac Bigfoot last to the full spray tank.

Restraints

BigFoot Blue Spray Colourant is a marker used to identify spray patterns clearly when using pesticides. We do not recommend using it in the swimming pool as it may stain and permanently mark the swimming pool. BigFoot Blue may also irritate the eyes and skin, and it is advised to avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Storage

Store in the closed, original container in a well-ventilated area, as cool as possible.
Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
Store below 30°C, away from sources of heat or ignition.

Eye contact: flush with lukewarm, gently flowing water for 5 minutes. Obtain medical advice if irritation becomes painful or lasts more than a few minutes.
Ingestion: do not induce vomiting. Wash mouth with water and give some water to drink.
If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or the Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126.
