Description
Herbi Blue Marker Dye
Active Ingredient:Â CI Acid Blue 9, Disodium Salt (Hidacid Azure Blue 65%) @ 90g/L
Herbi Blue Marker Dye is a non-toxic, biodegradable, blue liquid identification compound for marking turf and vegetation when using herbicides & pesticides.
Herbi Blue Marker Dye is made from ‘CI Acid Blue 9, Disodium Salt (Hidacid Azure Blue 65%)’, a synthetic dye that belongs to the family of acid dyes. CI Acid Blue 9, Disodium Salt is water-soluble and produces a bright blue colour, less resistant to fading, making it a popular choice for herbicide and pesticide applications. Herbi Blue Marker Dye Marking helps prevent farmers/contractors from over-spraying and is recommended for spot spraying, selective herbicide application & marking trial plots and strips.
Herbi Blue contains a temporary, non-staining colourant that marks spray application. The colour breaks down gradually with sunlight and moisture. Herbi Blue can be used with spotgun and hand spraying equipment. It washes off equipment, clothing and skin with soap and water. Herbi Blue Marker Dye is only suitable for mixing with water-based spray solutions.
Why choose Herbi Blue Marker Dye;
- Non-Toxic & Biodegradable.
- A cost-effective product to eliminate over-application or missed strips.
- Ideal for spray marking in Industrial, Domestic, Metropolitan, Council and Government Gazetted areas.
- See where you spray.
- Improves applicator safety.
Why are Spray Marker Dyes important when spraying herbicides and pesticides;
Spray marker dyes are commonly used when spraying vegetation because they provide a visual indication of the areas that have been sprayed, which helps to ensure that the entire target area is covered with the herbicide or pesticide being applied.
After using a marker dye, applicators can easily see where they have sprayed. This allows them to avoid overspray and ensure that the herbicide or pesticide is applied evenly and uniformly across the target area. This can improve the effectiveness of weed control and reduce the risk of damage to non-target plants and crops.
Without a spray marker dye, it can be difficult to tell which areas have been treated, especially in cases where the herbicide or pesticide is transparent and has no colour or odour. This can lead to under-application or over-application of the herbicide or pesticide, resulting in poor weed control or damage to non-target plants and crops. Additionally, spray marker dye can help reduce waste and minimise the herbicide or pesticide needed to achieve effective weed control.
What is the application rate of Herbi Blue Marker Dye;
- Add Herbi Blue Dye to water at 260ml-330mL per 100L water.
- Vary rate depends on foliage colour and height.
- Use a higher rate where more persistent marking is required.
- Suitable for use with all water-based spray mixtures.
