Identiplier Tag Applicator – Allflex
The Identiplier Tag Applicator is a reliable and built-tough product for the application of Allflex tags. It has a ‘flip-pin’ head, that enables the pin to swivel out if an animal pulls its head away during the application. The design minimises the chance of tearing the ear or having the applicator pulled from your hands.Â
The Identiplier Tag Applicator is used to apply two-piece visual tags, electronic cattle tags and two-piece electronic sheep and goat tags.

What is the difference between the UTT3S, Red (Universal) & Green (Identiplier) applicators?
- Either applicator can be used for Electronic cattle and sheep tags and visual tags.
- The difference between the applicators is that the Identiplier (green) has a swivel-action pin to prevent tearing should the animal pull away.
- The UTT3S and Universal applicators (red) have a static pin.
Compatible tags for use with the Allflex Identiplier Tag Applicator:
- Two-Piece Visual Tags – Super Maxi, Maxi, Large, Medium, Small, Mini, Button
- NLIS – Cattle
- Two-Piece RFID Sheep Tags
Nb – Y-Tex Ultra Tagger Pins (2 x Replacement & Conversion Pins) should be used for Y-Tex Insecticidal Ear Tags. Flip-Pin Applicators not recommended for Y-Tex Insecticidal Tags.
Application:
- The Allflex Identiplier Applicator has an insert that allows it to be a multi-purpose device.
- Insert in for visual and electronic sheep tags, rotate 180 degrees out for electronic cattle tags.

I’ve used all the types of Allflex tag applicators over the years and the Identiplier (green applicator) with the flip over pin is by far my favourite. The flip over pin greatly reduces the risk of the ear being torn if the animal pulls away as its being tagged. I am a woman, I don’t have the big hands of a man and I work with a perinate wrist injury that has left me weaker in my dominant hand so at times I’m not as quick as I used to be punching that tag through, especially when retagging older stock with thick leathery ears. I lent my original Identipliers that I’ve had for the past 12 years to someone last year and they obviously thought they were great too as they’ve never returned them!! so I’m purchasing the same again. I have had a look at the new ones Allflex has put out but they don’t have the flip over pin and I don’t like that they are plastic , my old green metal ones still looked brand new and worked perfectly after many years of service when they went walkabout and they do everything + that the newer black and blue plastic ones do (ie: Management and EID Tags).
Allflex kicked a goal with this particular applicator and I highly recommend them 🙂
