Application:

The Allflex Male Button is applied using the UTT3S, Universal, LazaMatic or Identiplier applicators.
The blind metal male tip locks securely into the female tag component.
For application instructions including tag positions, please refer to the directions for use.

Tagging Recommendations:

Correct tag placement ensures maximum retention and visibility.
The tag should be applied between the two main ear cartilages and approximately halfway between the head and the outside tip of the ear.
Tags should always be applied with the male tag being inserted from the back of the ear as this increases retention.

Directions Of Use

Ensure that the black jaw insert is present in the jaws of the applicator.
Place the visual tag under the clip by depressing the lever. It is recommended that adult cattle are restrained in a head bail for tagging.
Slip the male tag/button completely onto the applicator pin.
Dip the jaws of the applicator holding the tag into an antiseptic or disinfectant solution. Nb – Use disinfectant at the recommended dilution ratios. Failure to do so may cause irritation.
With the correct position located, apply the tag firmly, always with the male tag entering from the back (outside of the ear).

Tips For Use

Tagging Recommendations:

Correct tag placement ensures maximum retention and visibility.
The tag should be applied between the two main ear cartilages and approximately halfway between the head and the outside tip of the ear.
Tags should always be applied with the male tag being inserted from the back of the ear as this increases retention.
Ensure the tag pin is travelling straight between the jaws of the applicator.
A spare pin is located under the black flap on the inside of the applicators handle.
For Visual Tags – Reinstall the black jaw insert if not present.

Visual Tags;

Ensure that the black jaw insert is present in the jaws of the applicator.
