Envy Heat and Frost Protection

Active Ingredient: Carboxylated Hydrophilic Polymer

Envy Heat and Frost Protection is used to protect plants against climatic Moisture Loss, Windburn, Sunburn & Frost.

Envy provides frost protection and can increase frost tolerance by as much as 4°C

Envy provides heat protection and can reduce moisture loss through transpiration by up to 50%, reducing drought stress and irrigation.  

Envy is a unique water emulsifiable polymer concentrate, which can be used on most crops, trees, vegetables, turf, ornamental and flower crops.  When dry, Envy forms a semi-permeable, biodegradable film, which reduces transpiration and protects plants from climatic extremes.

Envy is non-toxic, pH neutral and biodegradable.

Envy will not impede photosynthesis and normal plant growth.

Application: 

  • All anti-transparent spray applications must be applied for full coverage or used as a dip.
  • Envy should not be applied during flowering as it can create a barrier to pollination. 
  • Envy should be applied 24 hours before adverse weather conditions. Apply when there is sufficient daylight time to dry, minimum 4 hours of sunlight. Foliar fertilizers and pesticides should be applied prior to an application of Envy or 2 weeks after application, as Envy may inhibit the absorption of some systemic products. 
  • Avoid foliar application when ambient air temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius

APPLICATION RATES:

Winter Protection –

To reduce winter damage caused by frost and cold desiccation

USE RATE APPLICATION
Apples 2.5L/100L 1st spray apply after petal fall and fruit set. 2nd spray 21 days later.
Citrus 1L/100L 2000L water/Ha in early Winter for frost protection from scarring and marking.
Fruit Trees 2L/100L Early Spring for bud protection.  Spray after petal fall.
Vegetables 2.5L/100L Early Spring / Autumn to reduce winter damage.
Vines 5L/100L

Apply early spring to reduce winter damage, spray 5 days after bud burst.  Additional spray 7 days later & follow up with applications 10 days later and again in 14 days to protect new growth.
Nut Trees 2.5L/100L Early Autumn for frost protection.  Repeat after fruit set and 30 days before harvest
Tree Plantations 2L/100L Wet all foliage as protection against frosts and dry out for established plantings.
Cotton 2L/100L Wet all foliage as protection against frost and dryout for established plantings.
Cotton Frost Protection 5-10L/100L Minimum 100L/Ha spray.  1st application at 1st flower, 2nd application 21-28 days later.

Pre-harvest spray to improve the size, reduce pre-harvesting fruit drop, reduce sunburn incidence

To reduce drying and sunburn, improve storage, shipping quality & enhance colour & size.

All Crops 5L/100L or 10L/Ha Minimum For reduction in sunburn incidence & fruit loss.  Reduces moisture loss & water requirements.

To reduce transplanting shock and other uses

Transplants 5L-10L/100L Water well 24 hours before transplant. Thoroughly saturate seedlings.
Bedding Plants 5L/100L For frost and wilt stress spray before hardening off or transplanting. Spray before transportation to reduce damage
Flowering Plants 5L/100L Spray for transportation protection. Reduced wilt and extended flowering time.
Indoor Foliage 5L/100L Spray for extended maintenance and leaf gloss.
Turf Transplants 5L-10L/100L Apply after watering and before lifting.
Deflasking 100mL/10L Spray or dip plants when deflasking

    Envy Heat and Frost Protection is non-toxic, pH neutral and biodegradable without withholding periods (WHP). Envy should not pose any problems if applied to plants where animals are present. If further clarification is required, please get in touch with the manufacturer, Agrobest, at 1800 802 801.

Tips For Use

Application: 

  • All anti-transparent spray applications must be applied for full coverage or used as a dip.

Before Use:

  • Use only when water and air temperatures are above 5°C. 
  • Ensure equipment is thoroughly rinsed.

Mixing: 

  • Water must be of good quality or coagulation of Envy may occur.
  • A wetting agent should not be necessary.
  • Agral 600 or similar may be used if required.
  • Avoid foaming by adding Envy to the spray tank after the water has been added.

Spraying: 

  • Apply in high volume with small droplet size recommended, spray to run off to achieve full coverage. All surfaces must have coverage.

Clean-Up: 

  • Rinse well with water immediately.
  • Dried Envy may be removed from machinery with a diluted ammonia solution e.g. 2-5% w/v.
  • Ensure equipment is thoroughly rinsed after use.

Shelf Life:

  • Envy may be stored, undiluted, for up to five years in a sealed container away from heat and light. 

Compatibility:

  • Do not combine with any other pesticide or fertilizer in the spray tank.

First Aid:

  • If poisoning occurs contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126.
  • For further information, refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
