Termidor Foam Termiticide & Insecticide TERMIDOR-FOAM BASF

Description

Termidor Foam Termiticide & Insecticide

Active Ingredient: Fipronil @ 0.05g/kg

Termidor Foam Termiticide & Insecticide is a ready to use, dry foam formulation for control of subterranean termites, dry wood termites and ants.  It expands to fill termite nests, galleries and other active workings with a thirty-to-one expansion ratio. Termidor Foam stays in place as the perfect product for Stage 1 colony elimination.

    • Coastal brown ants (Pheidole megacephala)
    • Pavement ants (Tetramorium sp.)

Where can Termidor Foam Termiticide & Insecticide be used;

  • Termite nests in trees
  • Stumps
  • Posts
  • Power poles
  • Mounds
  • Wall cavities
  • Termite activity when the nest cannot be located. (ie active workings in timber or wall cavities)
  • Ant nests
  • Enclosed harbourages of ants

How does Termidor Foam Termiticide & Insecticide work;

Termidor Foam has been specifically formulated as a dry foam that builds and holds in place, ensuring the active ingredient is evenly distributed throughout the treated area. With the added advantage of an unsurpassed 30:1 expansion ratio, Termidor Foam will permeate intricate termite workings and carton material without dissipating and turning to water as other foams tend to.

A carefully calibrated 0.05 g/L concentration of the Termidor active ensures that Termidor Foam does not kill too quickly, allowing time for the powerful Termidor Transfer Effect to go to work.

Termidor Foam should be applied directly to termite nests (including bivouacs) in trees, stumps, posts, power poles, mounds and wall cavities. Termidor Foam can also be applied to termite activity when the nest cannot be located, such as active workings in timber and wall cavities and in bait stations.

Ant nests and enclosed ant harbourages may also be treated with Termidor Foam.

Termidor Foam. Great product, killed the little suckers instantly. Sprayed onto timber in the garage. Found a few different locations where White Ants had been eating timber work. Bottom and some top plate as well as some studs and of course around windowsill.
Next step builder to replace timber work and I almost forgot they ate the whole laminated beam above the garage door. Little buggers.

    Answered by the admin

Termidor Foam Termiticide & Insecticide can be applied into cracks in a brick foundation, but it is not recommended as a long-term control option.  The Termidor Foam is designed for application to termite nests for stage 1 termite colony elimination.  The foam formulation maximises the Termidor Transfer Effect upon contact. When applied correctly to affect many termites, this initial stage may also offer a shot at eliminating the nest responsible. The foam treatments don’t protect your house and are only the first step and are used in conjunction with the Termidor Residual Termiticide.

A continuous chemical treatment as per Australian Standard 3660.2, such as Termidor Residual Termiticide & Insecticide should be applied immediately following the successful eradication of termite activity in the structure.  Data currently available indicates that this product, when applied as a soil treatment around or under a building or structure per this label, will be effective against subterranean termites for a minimum period of eight years.

Tips For Use

Termite Control:

  • To optimise colony decline, treat termites each time significant activity is found.
  • Aggregation containers such as bait boxes and bait stations can be useful in increasing the number of termites that can be treated.
  • Cessation of termite activity does not guarantee that a structure is protected from attack by other colonies in the area.
  • Termite foaming is not designed as a stand-alone treatment, and should not be used as such.
  • Therefore a continuous chemical treatment as per Australian Standard 3660.2, such as Termidor Residual Termiticide & Insecticide should be applied immediately following the successful eradication of termite activity in the structure.
  • It is important that a licensed Pest Control Operator carry out regular inspections at least annually.

Ant Control:

  • To optimise colony decline, apply Termidor Foam wherever significant ant activity is found.
  • Termidor Foam can be applied internally to known or suspected harbourages or voids.
  • For longer-term protection from future nuisance ant invasion, an external application of a residual liquid such as Termidor Termiticide and Insecticide is recommended.

Precautions:

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not spray directly onto humans, pets, exposed foods, food utensils or food preparation surfaces.

Protection Of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans And Environment:

  • Highly toxic to aquatic life.
  • Do not contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with Termidor chemical or used containers.
  • Dangerous to bees.

Storage:

  • Keep in a cool place out of the sun, and out of the reach of children

Safety Directions:

  • Wash hands after use

First Aid:
