Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder is water-soluble and is suitable for use in conventional foliar and irrigation water applications systems.

Ascophyllum nodosum is a type of brown seaweed & is proven scientifically to be the best, most effective Seaweed for agriculture. It grows in freezing waters of the Atlantic Ocean below the Arctic Circle and is harvested in Norway, Scotland, Iceland and Canada. Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed is used around the world in animal and plant health products.

Ascophyllum nodosum should not be confused with other kinds of seaweed or Kelp like Bladderwort, Blue-green Algae, Brown Algae, Fucus vesiculosus, or Laminaria, or with the chemical Algin that comes from seaweed. Ascophyllum nodosum contains nutrients such as large sugars (carbohydrates), fats, and the mineral iodine.

Ascophyllum nodosum enhances plant tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses through both supplementations of stress-protective compounds taken up by the plant and through elicitation of systemic responses.

Foliar treatments such as Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder may supply only a portion of the major and minor nutrients (Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium) required for successful crop production. Acadian is recommended as a supplementary plant nutrient source to be used as part of a comprehensive fertiliser program based on soil fertility and plant nutritional demands.

Directions Of Use

Application Rates:

Suggest rates and doses are approximate and may vary depending on the crop, climatic region, soil type and fertility.
It is preferable to increase the frequency of the applications rather than the concentration of the solution.

Ornamentals, Flowers & Gardens:

Apply Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder at a rate of 50mL per 100m2 in a 1:500 dilution

General Home Garden Use:

Make a 0.5% to 2% (ie 5mL – 20mL per 10L water) solution of Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder and apply liberally every 10 to 14 days.

Fruit Production:

Apply Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder at 2 to 4 litres per hectare per application at the following growth stages;
- Early spring growth
- Pre bloom
- Post bloom
- Early sizing stages
- Late sizing stages

Vegetable Production:

Apply Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder at 2 to 4 litres per hectare per application at the following growth stages;
- Transplant drench
- 10 to 14 days post-transplant
- 3 to 4 weeks intervals during the growing season (pre/post-bloom)
- Fruit, root, tuber development

Mixing Instructions:

Fill half of the mixing container with water and gradually add Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder with constant and thorough mixing.
Bring to final volume with continued mixing.

Foliar Applications:

Fill half the spray tank with water and begin agitating while gradually adding the recommended volume of Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder to the remainder of the water and spray solution.
Higher dilution rates are recommended for the best crop coverage.
The product should be applied in 500 to 2000 litres of water per hectare for ground sprayers or 100 to 200 litres of water per hectare for low volume ground sprayers or aerial applications.

Soil Applications:

Apply Acadian Roots and Shoot Builder in furrow-run irrigation water by adding solution into the irrigation water.
Each nozzle should be calibrated to drip at a constant rate into the irrigation water.
For best results, apply through an irrigation system.
