Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait METHIOSHIELD Sundew

Description

Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait

Active Ingredient: 20 g/kg Methiocarb (an anticholinesterase compound). Contains Bitrex

Similar or comparable to Mesurol (Bayer CropScience) & Baysol Snail & Slug Bait (Sundew)

Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait provides proven protection from snails, slugs, slaters and millipedes in the home garden and commercial situations. It is long-lasting, fast-acting, mould-resistant and contains a taste deterrent. In commercial operations, Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait controls snails and slugs in berry crops, cereals, gardens, nurseries, oilseed crops, orchards, pastures and vegetable crops and false wireworm beetles on sunflowers.

Why is Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait different from other snail and slug baits?

While all snail baits work in much the same way, it’s the speed and effectiveness of the snail and slug killer that’s important. In field trials, Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait performed faster and killed a far greater number of snails than any other brand. Snails and slugs can ravage crops and gardens quickly, so you must act fast. All snail baits are attractive to snails, but the difference is that Methioshield uses a specifically formulated ingredient (Methiocarb) that, once ingested by the snail, kills quickly and allows fewer snails to recover.

Why choose Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait?

  • A unique active ingredient – Methiocarb
  • A higher percentage kill of snails & slugs (97% mortality) compared to metaldehyde, with survival rates as high as 85% recovery.
  • A premium snail and slug killer with a unique active and mode of action.
  • Targets slugs, snails, millipedes, and slaters
  • An extruded pellet bait with a unique blue colour for easy product identification.
  • Ready-to-use pellet bait
  • Easy to apply
  • One pellet can eliminate up to 30 snails
  • Biodegradable pellets
  • Contains a bittering agent (Bitrex) that helps prevent accidental consumption by children and pets
  • Pet antidote (atropine) if accidentally ingested (There is no antidote for metaldehyde baits.)
  • A single pellet can kill up to 30 snails.
  • Faster kill – fewer recoveries.
  • Works best in the wet.
  • Higher quality with less mould in the wet.
  • No hazard to earthworms and not attractive to birds..
  • Longevity – keeps killing longer.
  • Available in 10 kg and 150 kg containers.
  • Made in Australia.

Why does Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait last longer in all weather conditions?

Snails are most prevalent on damp and rainy nights.  Therefore, it’s important that the snail bait you use doesn’t deteriorate in damp conditions.  In field tests where Methioshield and other baits were subjected to high watering, Methioshield showed much higher durability, along with better performance.  Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait also offers superior mould resistance, even in the dampest conditions.  It gives two weeks of protection against snails, slugs, slaters and millipedes… rain, hail or shine.  Eventually, Methioshield will undergo a gradual but complete breakdown into your soil.

Methioshield Snail & Slug Bait contains a pet taste deterrent, but some pets may still find the bait attractive and eat it. Hence, please keep it away from pets and lock it in a safe place to ensure pets do not have access to the bait, box, or bag. A pet antidote (atropine) is available if accidentally ingested. There is no antidote for metaldehyde baits.
