Conquest Knockout Dry 700 SG Herbicide

Conquest Knockout Dry 700 SG Herbicide is a non-selective glyphosate 700 SG herbicide containing 700 g/kg glyphosate as the mono-ammonium salt.

It controls annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in fallow cropping, tree and vine crops, forestry, pastures, and non-crop areas. The water-soluble granule format mixes cleanly in boom, handgun, knapsack, and aerial equipment, with no residual soil activity, so follow-up sowing or planting can proceed once weed decay is complete. Suitable for broadacre operators, horticulturists, and rural property owners managing fencelines, tracks, and yards.

Description

Conquest Knockout Dry 700 SG Herbicide — Glyphosate 700 g/kg Water Soluble Granule

Glyphosate 700 SG herbicide for non-selective annual and perennial weed control

Conquest Knockout Dry 700 SG Herbicide delivers 700 g/kg glyphosate as the mono-ammonium salt in a water-soluble granule. Furthermore, it controls a wide spectrum of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds. Conquest Crop Protection Pty Ltd manufactures the product in Australia. Notably, this Group 9 (formerly Group M) herbicide moves from foliage and green stems into the root system. As a result, the plant dies back completely rather than simply browning off at the leaf.

The granules are pale beige, low-odour, and rainfast once dry. Moreover, they dissolve cleanly in the spray tank without the mess of liquid drums. Consequently, freight and storage costs drop compared with 360 g/L liquid glyphosate. In addition, operators avoid the spillage risk that comes with bulk liquid handling.

Where Glyphosate 700 SG herbicide fits

Use Knockout Dry 700 SG for fallow weed control before sowing edible or non-edible crops. Likewise, apply it for inter-row weed control in tree and vine crops. Registered situations include avocado, citrus, macadamia, olives, stone fruit, and vineyards. Additionally, the label covers forestry site preparation, pasture renewal, and general weed control around buildings, fencelines, and rights-of-way. Because the product binds to soil on contact, it leaves no residual activity. Therefore, follow-up sowing or planting can proceed soon after weed decay.

How it works

Knockout Dry 700 SG inhibits the EPSP synthase enzyme. In turn, this blocks the shikimate pathway plants need to make essential amino acids. Visible symptoms appear within 3 to 7 days on annual weeds. However, perennial weeds may take 2 to 3 weeks to fully brown off.

Frequently asked questions

Is Knockout Dry 700 SG selective?

No. It is non-selective and will damage or kill any green plant tissue it contacts. Use shielded sprayers or directed application around desirable trees, vines, and crops.

Does it provide residual control?

No. The product is inactivated on contact with soil. For residual control of later germinating weeds, tank mix with a compatible residual herbicide as per label directions.

What is the withholding period?

Not required when used as directed. A grazing delay is recommended to allow herbicide uptake.

Can it be applied by air?

Yes. Knockout Dry 700 SG is registered for aerial application up to a maximum of 2.1 kg/ha with appropriate droplet size and spray volume.

Tips For Use

General Instructions:

  • Apply when weeds are actively growing and not stressed by drought, frost, waterlogging, or insect damage
  • Do not disturb treated weeds by cultivation, sowing, or grazing for 1 day (annuals) or 7 days (perennials)
  • Delay the treatment of plants wet with dew or rain if water droplets run off when disturbed

Mixing Instructions:

  • Use clean water; avoid muddy water from ponds or unlined ditches, as suspended soil reduces efficacy
  • Hard water containing calcium salts can reduce results
  • Do not mix, store, or apply in galvanised or unlined steel tanks; use stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, or plastic
  • Do not add additional surfactant or other chemicals unless specified on the label

Compatibility:

  • May be tank mixed with certain residual herbicides for follow-up annual weed control. Refer to the label Tank Mixtures section.

Protection of Crops, Native and Other Non-Target Plants:

  • Non-selective. Avoid spray or spray drift contacting any green tissue, bark, foliage, or fruit of desirable plants
  • Use shielded or directed application near trees and vines less than 3 years old

Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans and the Environment:

  • Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers
  • Do not apply to weeds growing in or over water

Protection of Livestock:

  • A withholding period for grazing stock is not required; delay grazing to allow herbicide uptake
  • Where naturally toxic plants such as Soursob, St John’s Wort, or Bracken are present, delay grazing until complete browning of treated plants

Storage:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight
  • Do not contaminate seed, feed, or foodstuffs

Safety Directions:

  • Harmful if swallowed. Will irritate the eyes and skin
