Tips For Use

Restraints

• Do not use in ewes that are producing, or may in the future produce, milk that may be used or processed for human consumption.

Contraindications

• Do not use in lambs under 6 weeks of age or less than 10 kg body weight.
• Do not use in dogs, horses or any other pets.
• Not recommended for use in goats, as safety and efficacy have not been evaluated.

General instructions

• Shake well before use.
• Use the contents within 3 months of first opening the container.
• Discard any unused portion.
• Check the accuracy of drenching equipment regularly.

Safety to sheep

• Ewes may be treated at any stage of pregnancy.
• Some sheep may cough slightly after treatment.
• This passing response is of no consequence.

Resistance management

• Resistance may develop to any chemical.
• Ask your veterinary practitioner or animal health advisor for parasite management practices suited to your area.
• Conduct a drench-resistance test before any drench is used.

Storage

• Store below 30 °C (room temperature).
• Protect from light.

Safety directions

• Harmful if swallowed.
• Will irritate the eyes and skin.
• Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• When using the product, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrists, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves and goggles.
• If clothing becomes contaminated with product, remove clothing immediately.
• If product is on skin, immediately wash the area with soap and water.
• If product is in eyes, wash it out immediately with water.
• After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water.
• After each day’s use, wash gloves and contaminated clothing.

Protection of wildlife, fish, crustaceans and the environment

• Abamectin is extremely toxic to aquatic species.
• Do not contaminate dams, rivers, streams or other waterways with the product or used containers.

Disposal

• Triple-rinse the container and dispose of rinsate in compliance with relevant local, state or territory government regulations.
• Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site.
• If the container has the drumMUSTER logo visible, and has been thoroughly cleaned and dried, and is free of any visible residues, it can be recycled at any drumMUSTER collection or similar container management program site.
• The cap should not be replaced, but may be recycled separately at the drumMUSTER collection site.
• If not recycling, break, crush or puncture the container and deliver it to an approved waste management facility.
• If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the broken, crushed or punctured containers 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose, clear of waterways, vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant local, state or territory government regulations.
• Do not burn empty containers or product.
