Meridian Turf Insecticide

Tips For Use

Restraints:

• Do not apply aerially.
• Do not apply if heavy rain is forecast.

Mixing:

• Add the required amount of Meridian Turf Insecticide to clean water in a half-filled spray tank with the agitator or by-pass in operation. 
• Maintain agitation while filling the tank with the remainder of the water. 
• Agitate whilst spraying.

Application:

• To be effective, Meridian Turf Insecticide must be placed as close to the soil surface as possible. 
• Ensure that equipment is calibrated correctly to give an even distribution at the correct volume. 
• Apply a minimum of 500 L of water/ha. 
• For best results, use extremely coarse droplets (Turbo FloodJet* TF5 or TurfJet TTJ10).

Compatibility:

• As formulations of other manufacturers’ products are beyond the control of Syngenta, and water quality varies with location, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities.

Re-entry period: 

• Do not allow entry into treated areas until the treated areas have been fully irrigated as per Directions for Use, unless wearing chemical-resistant footwear and gloves. 
• Do not perform hand-weeding and/or transplanting for 5 days after application, unless wearing chemical-resistant gloves. 
• Footwear and gloves must be rinsed after each day’s use.

Protection Of Livestock:

• Dangerous to bees. 
• Do not spray any plants in flower while bees are foraging. 
• Do not graze treated turf/lawn, or feed turf/lawn clippings from any treated area to poultry or livestock.

Protection Of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans And Environment:

• Toxic to certain aquatic invertebrates. 
• Do not apply under weather conditions, or from spraying equipment, that may cause spray drift onto adjacent areas, particularly wetlands, waterbodies or watercourses. 
• Do not contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the product or used containers.

Storage:

• Store in a closed container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight.

Safety Directions:

• It will irritate the eyes and skin. 
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin. 
• If the product gets in the eyes, wash them out immediately with water.
• When opening the container and preparing the spray wear:
  • cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist over clothing (ie double layer of clothing).
  • a washable hat.
  • elbow-length PVC gloves.
  • goggles.
• When using the prepared spray wear:

  • a washable hat.
  • elbow-length PVC gloves.
• Wash your hands after use. 
• After each day’s use, wash gloves, goggles and contaminated clothing.
