Exifluke 240 Oral Flukicide For Cattle EXIFLUKE Elanco

Description

Exifluke 240 Oral Flukicide For Cattle

Active Ingredient: Triclabendazole @ 240g/L

Similar or comparable to Fasinex 240 Oral Flukicide For Cattle (Elanco)

Exifluke 240 Oral Flukicide is for the treatment of triclabendazole-susceptible early immature, immature and mature liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica) in beef and dairy cattle.

Exifluke for cattle is ready to use, free-flowing aqueous suspension for the treatment and control of acute and chronic fascioliasis of cattle. Exifluke 240 contains triclabendazole, a member of the benzimidazole family of drenches. It is effective against triclabendazole sensitive strains of Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke). When used at the recommended rate of 2.5 ml per 50 kg bodyweight, Exifluke is highly effective against susceptible early immature fluke as well as immature and adult fluke.

The active ingredient in Exifluke 240 Oral Flukicide, Triclabendazole works by blocking the uptake of glucose, resulting in parasite starvation and death. Liver fluke is an important parasite of cattle and is prevalent in high rainfall or irrigation areas of NSW, Victoria and Tasmania and small areas in Queensland and South Australia. Liver fluke causes damage to bile ducts and liver, resulting in blood loss, ill thrift and in some cases ‘Black Disease’.

The powerful efficacy of Exifluke 240 Oral Flukicide against all stages of liver fluke makes it ideal within a strategic management program for liver fluke and will help to reduce production costs associated with infection. This efficacy against all three stages of liver fluke means it is effective against both acute and chronic infestations, accelerating the recovery of health and productivity. It is also very useful for strategic control of liver fluke in pastures.
