Estate Herbicide

Estate Herbicide is a triple-active herbicide designed for professional broadleaf weed control in turf. It combines three active ingredients to control hard-to-kill weeds such as bindii and white clover effectively. This formulation is safe for a broad range of warm and cool-season turf species, including Buffalo and Kikuyu.

Estate Herbicides non-ester formulation minimises the potential for spray drift, and it offers a mix of active ingredients for improved resistance management, with a low application rate and minimal odour.

Active Ingredients: Diflufenican @ 15g/L, MCPA @ 300g/L and Clopyralid @ 20g/L

Similar or comparable to Bow and Arrow Herbicide (Turf Culture), Surefire Multi Turf Herbicide (PCT), Jolt Selective Herbicide (Amgrow) and Stadium Turf Selective Herbicide (Adama)

Estate Herbicide is a triple-active herbicide for professional broadleaf weed control in turf. Estate Herbicide is a powerful combination of three active ingredients for effective broad-spectrum control of hard-to-kill weeds such as bindii and white clover. Esate Herbicide is effective across a broad range of warm and cool season turf species, including Buffalo and Kikuyu.

This easy-to-use, low-rate formulation reduces the need for manual hand weeding, while improving the appearance and durability of the turf it is applied to, making it more resilient to foot traffic and other environmental stress. Estate Herbicide provides excellent turf safety, and its non-ester formulation reduces the potential for drift and off-target damage.

Why is Estate Herbicide so effective for broadleaf control, and how does it work?

  • The 3-way blend of herbicides works well in combination and plays slightly different roles in weed control:
    • MCPA (Group 4): Moves through the plant, accumulating in growing points of the stems, interfering with cell division.
    • Clopyralid (Group 4): Accumulates in the main growing points, causing rapid growth and eventual death.
    • Diflufenican (Group 12): Inhibits the production of carotenoids, preventing photosynthesis.

Why choose Estate Herbicide?

  • Provides effective broad-spectrum control of hard-to-kill broadleaf weeds like bindii and white clover.
  • Effective across a broad range of warm and cool season turf species, including Buffalo and Kikuyu.
  • An easy-to-use, low-rate formulation.

Tips For Use

General Instructions:

  • For best results, the turf and weeds should be actively growing at the time of treatment.
  • Complete weed death may take up to 6 weeks. Faster results can be expected on smaller weeds.
  • Due to residual effects of diflufenican, overseeding treated areas within 3 months of application may inhibit the establishment of the turf grass.

Mixing:

  • Shake the original container before use.
  • Continuously agitate the diluted chemical to ensure thorough mixing before and during application.
  • Only mix sufficient chemicals for each day’s work.
  • Surfactants (if used) should be added after Estate Herbicide and water are mixed when the spray tank is almost full.

Mowing:

  • Avoid mowing during the 3 to 4 days preceding or following treatment.

Cleaning Spray Equipment:

  • Thoroughly clean all application equipment after use:
    • Rinse water should be discharged onto a designated area, or if unavailable, onto unused land away from desirable plants and water courses.
  • Partial Cleaning (before spraying tolerant turf):
    • After using Estate Herbicide, empty the tank completely and drain the whole system.
    • Thoroughly wash inside the tank with a pressure hose.
    • Quarter fill the tank with clean water and circulate through the pump, line, hoses and nozzles.
    • Drain and repeat the procedure twice.
  • Complete Cleaning (before spraying susceptible plants):
    • After using Estate Herbicide, empty the tank completely and drain the whole system.
    • Thoroughly wash inside the tank with a pressure hose.
    • Quarter fill the tank with clean water and circulate through the pump, line, hoses and nozzles, then drain.
    • Quarter fill the tank again and add an alkaline detergent at 500 mL/100 L of water and circulate through the system for at least 15 minutes.
    • Drain, remove filters and nozzles and clean separately.
    • Rinse inside the tank thoroughly using a pressure hose and flush system with clean water.

Compatibility:

  • No information is available that indicates physical compatibility with other products; therefore, tank mixing other products with Estate Herbicide is not recommended.
  • As formulations of other manufacturers’ products are beyond the control of Syngenta Australia Pty Ltd, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities.

Precaution:

  • Manual Handling of turf: Hand-weeding and transplanting should not be performed before 2 weeks after spray application, unless workers wear overalls (or equivalent clothing) and chemical-resistant gloves.

Wherever possible, correctly use application equipment designed to reduce spray drift and apply when the wind direction is away from these sensitive areas.
  • Do not apply unless the wind speed is between 3 and 20 kilometres per hour at the application site during the time of application.
  • Do not apply if there are hazardous surface temperature inversion conditions present at the application site during the time of application. Surface temperature inversion conditions exist most evenings, one to two hours before sunset and persist until one to two hours after sunrise.

Protection Of Crops, Native And Other Non-Target Plants:

  • Do not apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands or pastures.
  • Spray drift from Estate Herbicide application may cause injury to herbaceous plants, vegetables, fruit crops, vines, ornamentals and trees.
