Concert Spray Adjuvant is for use with Glyphosate-based herbicides to minimise antagonism when mixing with flowable herbicides and improve performance under adverse environmental conditions. When used as an agricultural spray adjuvant for water-soluble insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides, Concert Spray Adjuvant functions to bind iron and calcium cations that are present in both hard water and plant cells. It is particularly effective as an adjuvant for 2,4-D (amine), Glyphosate, and Glufosinate herbicides.

Concert Spray Adjuvant contains ammonium sulphate that minimises the impact of hard water on glyphosate and reduces antagonism between glyphosate and other herbicides. Concert should be used with non-selective herbicides only, as with some selective herbicides use may result in loss of selectivity and therefore crop damage. Ammonium Sulfate may be corrosive to metal parts of the sprayer. Thoroughly flush tanks, pumps and nozzles with water after use.

Do I really need to add Concert Spray Adjuvant Ammonium Sulfate to my Glyphosate spray mix?
The answer is yes, particularly if the water you are using is ‘hard’ (ie bore water/groundwater). It is surprising how many producers don’t bother to add ammonium sulfate. Hard water in glyphosate spray mix results in “hard water antagonism,” which ties up the glyphosate and does not allow it to be absorbed as easily into plants. The magnesium and calcium contained in hard water combine with glyphosate to form glyphosate-magnesium and glyphosate-calcium compounds which result in poor uptake and poor weed control. Simply adding surfactants to glyphosate products improves the spreading of the spray over the plant and results in greater absorption, but does not address the hard water problem.

Including ammonium sulfate may add a little work and expense, but getting the best performance from your glyphosate application is worth it.

Critical Comments:

Half fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation.
Add Concert liquid through the top opening of spray tank.
With agitation still running, add the flowable herbicide to the tank and mix thoroughly.
Add the required amount of Glyphosate-based product and the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
Add surfactant, if required, near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.
Always maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly

Tips For Use

Concert Spray Adjuvant must be applied with properly calibrated and clean sprayer equipment.
Always add Concert Spray Adjuvant prior to adding any pesticides to the spray tank

Avoid breathing spray mists or vapours.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
Avoid contamination of feed or foodstuffs.
After using this product remove clothing and launder separately before reuse.
Avoid inhalation of vapour or spray mist.
Wash promptly and thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking or smoking.

Environmental Hazards:

Do not contaminate irrigation or drinking water supplies or aquatic habitats by cleaning equipment or disposal of wastes.
Use only for recommended purposes and at recommended rates.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children.
Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
Keep in the original container during storage.
Store in a cool, well-ventilated, dry place at temperatures between 4° and 35° C.
Store the tightly closed container away from feeds, seeds, fertilizers, plants and foodstuffs.
Do not use or store in or around the home.
