Grazon Extra Herbicide

When Grazon Extra Herbicide is used as directed, the product label states that a withholding period (WHP) is not required for stock grazing treated pastures. We would still suggest removing cattle from the area while spraying and until dry. Grazon Extra is used to kill hard-to-kill weeds in agricultural and non-crop settings. You should never use it in domestic situations such as gardens, garden beds, turf or lawns. Many plant species in domestic situations are highly susceptible to Grazon Extra, with severe damage or death likely. Buffalo Turf is a broadleaf species, which Grazon Extra is designed to target and kill.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is known for its rapid 'brown out' effect; the appearance of burnt foliage suggests that the herbicide application is working on the Periwinkle. There is a risk that the Grazon Extra and Metsulfuron-methyl, being systemic herbicides, could affect non-target plants like the English Oak, as root uptake can occur if the herbicide reaches the root zone of nearby trees.

When spraying with Grazon Extra Herbicide, following the grazing withholding periods relevant to your situation is essential. Livestock should not graze on treated pastures for 42 days after application if they are destined for export markets. If Livestock has been grazed on or fed treated crops within 42 days of application, they should be placed on clean feed for 3 days before slaughter. For domestic markets, there is no grazing withholding period when used as directed. However, best practice is to remove animals from the area while spraying until the chemical has dried and translocated through the plant. It will also depend on the plants you are spraying, as there is a risk that toxic plants may become more palatable after spraying, and many poisonous plants may remain poisonous after death. Stock should not be allowed access to these plants, as they may graze the dead material. Such material should be burnt if possible. Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control Green cestrum.  The recommended time to spray is late spring to early autumn at a rate of 500mL per 100L water.  One application may give satisfactory control of current growth, and any subsequent regrowth and seedlings must be resprayed at approximately 1 metre high.  Further details can be found on the registered 'directions of use', which can be found on the Grazon product page by clicking the heading 'SDS & Technical' as you scroll down on the left-hand side. Always read the 'directions of use' to ensure the product suits your situation.

The 'directions of use' for Grazon Extra Herbicide include African boxthorn, Eucalyptus spp., and  Casuarina spp. as controlled species on the registered weeds table, and it is registered for application via high volume spraying, so this may be a good option for you to target these species depending on your situation. It is a selective herbicide, so if there are other species you need to control, Grazon Extra may not target these. You can find the 'directions of use' on the Grazon Extra product page by scrolling down to the heading 'SDS & Technical' on the left-hand side. Once you click this, you can click the 'Grazon Extra Herbicide Label', and a PDF copy of the label will be visible.  We recommend adding a penetrant to the take mix when dealing with hard-to-kill, noxious, and woody weeds, such as Consume Penetrant, Eurochem Penetrant, or PCT Reactor Penetrant. Although Grazon Extra is compatible with glyphosate, the tank mix is only listed on the registered 'directions of use' for use via boom application for the control of blackberry nightshade, camel melon, prickly paddy melon, cucumber melon, cow vine flax-leaf fleabane, lucerne (established), and Polymeria pusilla, at a rate between 200-500 mL of Grazon Extra dependent on circumstance, to 1.2LTR of Glyphosate (450g/L) with an adjuvant. If you use this via a spray unit or for a weed species other than specified on the label, this will be classified as 'off-label' use and is to be done at your own risk. The mixture of Grazon Extra Herbicide and Metsulfuron-Methyl can effectively control blackberry. For the wetting agent, follow the higher recommended rate if the ratio of wetter to herbicide differs between the two herbicides. Using the higher rate ensures adequate coverage and penetration for effective control. Always read the 'directions of use' carefully to ensure suitability to your situation.

Both Grazon Extra and Hatchet do not include Privet (Ligustrum lucidum) on the label as weed-controlled. Some options that include Privet on the label as weeds-controlled include Access Herbicide, Di-Bak AM Herbicide, Wasp 300WG Herbicide, and Vigilant II Herbicide Gel. Grazon Extra, which contains aminopyralid and picloram, can remain active in the soil for extended periods depending on the rate of application, soil type (clay content), rainfall, temperature, humidity, soil moisture and soil organic matter. Grazon registered 'directions of use' contain detailed information regarding minimum re-cropping periods. Grazon Extra registered 'directions for use' does not list lamb tongue/plantain on the weeds table. However, docks are controlled when sprayed in association with blackberries.  

Grazon Extra does not list Bidgee Widgee as a weed registered to control. However, as Bidgee Widgee is a member of the Rosaceae family, it will likely be very susceptible to this herbicide. As Bidge Widgee is not listed on Grazon's label, it would be considered 'off-label' use, whereby the manufacturer does not guarantee results.

Grazon Extra does not control Ivy and should not be used in domestic garden situations. Aminopyralid and Picloram used in Grazon Extra have a lasting residual effect in the soil. Very few products are registered to control Ivy. However, herbicides made with Triclopyr (e.g., Garlon 600 Herbicide) are registered to control English Ivy when mixed with Glyphosate (Roundup). Note that this is a non-selective option and shouldn't be sprayed on Ivy growing on trees, etc. Please ensure you read the label and SDS before purchase and use. Richardia sp. is not listed on the product label or registered to be controlled by Grazon Extra Herbicide. What would work for you will depend on the situation (i.e. pasture, right of way, roadside, etc.). Please call the Specialist Sales team, email, or text for more information. 

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered or recommended to control swordgrass. As swordgrass is from the sedge family, it is a very hardy plant and difficult to kill. To the best of our knowledge there are no herbicides registered in Australia to control swordgrass.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered to sterilise or kill seeds on fireweed as it only targets the living plant. The seed will likely remain viable if the mature fireweed has set seed when Grazon Extra Herbicide is applied.

Herbicides made from Fluroxypyr (ie Starane Advanced, Fireball 400, Sabakem Fluroxypyr 400) are effective in controlling Wandering Jew or Trad (Tradescantia albiflora) and Cobblers Pegs (Bidens pilosa) in agricultural non-crop areas, commercial and industrial areas, forests, pastures and rights-of-way. To the best of our knowledge, there are no herbicides registered to control Callisia repens (creeping inch plant); as you have mentioned, Callisia repens is growing in similar areas to the Tradescantia albiflora; you may want to undertake an 'off-label' trial at your own risk. Adding a surfactant/ penetrant (i.e. Consume or Eurochem) can enhance the results you achieve and is highly recommended when spraying hard-to-kill, noxious, and woody weeds. To the best of our knowledge, no pre-emergent herbicides are registered to control Cobblers Pegs (Bidens pilosa).

Grazon Extra Herbicide is recommended where difficult-to-control species of Eucalyptus regrowth are present. Adding an adjuvant (i.e. organosilcone penetrant - Consume) will guarantee the best results.

 Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control Eucalypt regrowth via foliar application. Grazon Extra Herbicide requires foliar contact with plants to be effective. Therefore, plants not directly sprayed or impacted by spray drift will not be affected by the spray, and it does not shift in the soil to affect nearby species. 

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not recommended or registered to control 'singapore daisy'. There are no herbicide products specifically registered for the control of Singapore daisy, however AVPMA permit # PER11463 allows Metsulfuron-methyl to be used.  Prior to using the herbicides listed under this permit (PER11463) you must read or have read to you and understand the conditions of the permit. Grazon Extra Herbicide requires foliar contact with plants to be effective. Plants not directly sprayed or impacted by spray drift will not be affected by the spray, and it does not shift in the soil to affect nearby species. Seeds or plants sown in areas already treated with Grazon Extra Herbicide may be affected by residues.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control the cat's claw creeper under permit# 13914 (permit holder: NSW Department of Primary Industries) as a foliar spray, taking care to avoid spraying leaves of the host.

The visible damage to lantana from herbicides can be slow, appearing over weeks. Wilting, yellowing and dieback of the leaves occur, which then advances to complete browning of aboveground growth and deterioration of root stems. When using most knockdown herbicides, complete brownout occurs in 4–6 weeks, and death of the plant occurs in 9–12 weeks. Lantana should not be slashed or disturbed until the plant is completely dead and the root system has deteriorated.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is best applied to actively growing ragwort plants, preferably at the rosette stage. It will not kill the established seeds of mature plants.

Although Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control many species of thistles, it is not recommended or registered to control any 'burr' species. We recommend to control burr 2,4-D Amine 300 Herbicide, Lantana 600 Herbicide, 2,4-DB 500SC Herbicide, OzCrop LVE MCPA 570 Herbicide, Sabakem Fluroxypyr 400 Herbicide, or Dicamba 500SL Selective Herbicide. Always read the 'directions for use' carefully, ensuring suitability for the burr species you are targeting and your situation.

Convolvulus is a genus of about 200 to 250 species of flowering plants in the bindweed family Convolvulaceae. Common names include bindweed and morning glory. Grazon Extra Herbicide is not recommended or registered to control Bindweed (Convolvulus). Herbicides including 2,4-D 625 Amine Herbicide, Dicamba M,  Metsulfuron, Glufosinate 200, Buckwheat Cereal Herbicide (Picloram & MCPA ), and Fluroxpyr 400 are all registered for certain varieties of Bindweed in differing situations. Always read the "directions for use' carefully to ensure suitability to your situation.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not recommended or registered to control Heart-leaf Poison Bush (Gastrolobium grandiflorum).  To our knowledge, Access Herbicide is the only herbicide registered to control Heart-leaf Poison Bush as a basal bark or cut stump application.  Always read the 'directions for use' label carefully to ensure suitability to your situation.

Although Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control blackberry, it should not be applied when the herbicide may end up in a waterway. Grazon Extra Herbicide should not be used under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, pastures, waterways or native vegetation. You should also ensure that physical spray drift onto waterways, native vegetation and susceptible crops is not allowed. There are also individual state and council laws that need to be investigated before the application of herbicides around waterways. Do not burn off, cut or clear blackberry or other woody weeds for at least six months after spraying.

Grazon Extra is formulated to be applied to actively growing foliage. Grazon Extras 'directions for use' don't recommend 'cut stump'/ 'brush cut' as a suitable application method. Grazon can be applied as a foliar application to new gum & wattle regrowth after slashing. Other herbicides recommended for cut stump applications, such as Access Herbicide & Tordon Regrowthmaster, need to be applied to the cut stump immediately, as the sap will set very quickly and repel the application of herbicides.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control Maderia Vine on AVPMA Permit # 11463 as a foliar application.  Please refer to the Department of Agriculture & Fisheries invasive species link https://www.daf.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/59336/madeira-vine.pdf  for further detailed information regarding rates and critical comments.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered or recommended to control palm species, including Kentia Palms. An 'off-label' application of Grazon Extra Herbicide plus a penetrant could be undertaken as a trial, and attention would need to be taken to ensure that all the foliage is sprayed. However, results can't be guaranteed. Other products, such as Tordon 75-D, are registered to control Zamia Palms when used as a stem injection, but whether Kentia Palms would also be susceptible is unknown.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control Horehouse (pre-flowering) when mixed at a rate of 350mL per 100L and applied as a foliar spray. If you wanted to add another herbicide to your spray mix to enhance the killing power over Horehound, we would suggest a compatible herbicide such as 24D Amine 700. We recommend including a suitable wetting agent, surfactant or penetrant to guarantee the best results.

When used to control fireweed, the Grazon Extra Herbicide 'directions for use' recommendations to apply as a foliar spray, thoroughly wetting the plant's leaves.  A wick wiper may not provide sufficient coverage to the foliage of the fireweed, thus giving poor results.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is a selective herbicide designed to kill woody weeds that are broadleaf species. It is not recommended for killing grasses, so it is important to ensure that you are targeting the correct type of weed before using this herbicide. Unfortunately, Lomandra and Swamp Grass are not broadleaf species, so they are unlikely to be affected by Grazon Extra, and Tea Tree is not listed as a species controlled on the Grazon Extra label. The recommended method to control Tea Trees includes Garlon 600 or Access Herbicide, either applied as a basal bark spray or cut stump application. Alternatively, Tordon Regrowthmaster can also be applied via stem injection. Lomandra, Swamp Grass & various rush species are very difficult to control. A general 'off-label' method is often used whereby the old, hard leaves/growth is removed. Once new growth appears, it should be sprayed with a potent mix of glyphosate and penetrant. Repeat applications are likely to be required.

Grazon Extra is registered only as a foliar application for controlling Chinese Shrub/ Sifton Bush (Cassinia arcuata). Grazon Extra makes no recommendations on the 'directions for use' label of an application using the cut stump/stem method. The registered 'directions for use' are available on the Grazon Extra Herbicide website page. Scroll down to the 'SDS & Technical' tab and select; a PDF will be available to download or print. You may conduct an off-label test by applying Grazon Extra via cut stump application. However, there are no guarantees of success.

Adding a surfactant/ adjuvant /or penetrant to the tank mix with Grazon Extra will ensure a better result, particularly when plants have waxy or hairy foliage. Surfactants/ adjuvants /or penetrants maximize spray application by wetting and sticking the herbicide to the plant by lowering the surface tension of the spray droplet. Penetrants (i.e. Consume Penetrant) also assist in penetrating the plant by forcing the active ingredient deep inside the weed tissue, where it is translocated to the root system, creating a greater success rate in completely eradicating the weed. 

Grazon Extra Herbicide is an excellent option to control Eucalyptus sapling regrowth. Grazon Extra 'directions for use' recommend a foliar spray application to Eucalyptus seedlings and regrowth from small lignotubers 1-3m tall at a rate of 350mL to 500mL of water, applying the higher rate where difficult-to-control species regrowth is present. We recommend adding a penetrant to improve results, i.e. Consume, Eurochem or PCT Reactor Penetrant. Always read the 'directions for use' carefully before application. This can be found on the product page in the  SDS & Technical tab. A PDF file is available for download or printing.

Grazon Extra is currently registered under Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority permit PER11463 to control Leucaena leucocephala as a foliar application for seedlings only at a rate of 350mL/100L water.  Other registered herbicides for the control of Leucaena are Access as basal bark or cut stump application at a rate 1L per 60L diesel, or Vigilant II Gel applied directly to cut stems no higher than 10cm above ground level, 3-5 mm thick over cut surface.

Grazon Extra Herbicide does not have a best-before or expiry date.  The best practice for this herbicide is to try to use the contents within approximately five (5) years from the date of manufacturer.

When added to other active ingredients, such as triclopyr & picloram, aminopyralid can enhance the effectiveness of the herbicide by providing additional control of certain broadleaf weed species. Aminopyralid disrupts the growth and development of the target weeds, leading to their eventual death. It's also important to be aware of the potential for aminopyralid to persist in the soil for an extended period.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to target specific species (mainly broadleaf) without harming grasses. Grazon Extra is unlikely to have any effect on controlling bamboo. Bamboo Grass is usually sprayed with Flupropanate or Glyphosate Herbicides. Flupropanate is currently unavailable, possibly returning to market later in 2023. Glyphosate can be applied as a Spot spray. Remove tops of bamboo shoots and spot spray actively growing foliage and regrowth 1–2 m high. It can also be used via the Cut stump method, where you cut stems back to 20 cm tall and immediately pour herbicide down the hollow stem and wet the cut). Refer to the Glyphosate label for mixing rates.

Although not stated on the Grazon Extra Herbicide label, removing horses while spraying is considered the best practice. The re-entry period is usually long enough for the chemical to dry and be translocated through the plant. Twenty-four hours would be more than adequate. You do need to be aware of any plants that may become poisonous once sprayed. Toxic plants may become more palatable after spraying, and stock should be kept away from these plants until they have died down. Many plants remain poisonous after death, and stock should not be allowed access, as there is a likelihood that they may graze the dead material. Such material should be burnt if possible. The Withholding Periods for Grazon Extra only apply to livestock destined for slaughter or export markets. Grazon Extra should not kill the grass if it is applied at the correct rates. If the chemical is being used by high-volume hand spraying, the volume of the chemical may be applied higher than recommended, so care must be taken. The result may be some damage to the grass due to phytotoxicity.

Grazon Extra Herbicide contains two active ingredients that can persist in the soil for a lengthy period after application. Picloram degrades very slowly, with half-lives in the soil ranging from 167 to 513 days. Aminopyralid photodegrades slowly in soil, at a moderate rate depending on the soil type, with a half-life range of about 31.5 days to 193 days. These residues may affect the health of fruit trees if they are still present in the soil.

As per the APVMA registered 'directions for use' for Grazon Extra Herbicide, which can be found on the product screen under the SDS & Technical tab, advise the rate of application for both Mesquite & Parkinsonia is 350mL / 100L water.  Please read the 'directions for use' carefully before applying for critical comments regarding the application.

Grazon Extra Herbicide should not be applied when the herbicide may end up in a waterway.  Grazon Extra Herbicide should not be used under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, pastures, waterways or native vegetation.  You should also ensure that physical spray drift onto waterways, native vegetation and susceptible crops is not allowed.  There are also individual state and council laws that need to be investigated before the application of herbicides around waterways.

Herbicides used to kill sucker regrowth in domestic situations should be cautiously handled.  Spray drift or application close to non-target plants may result in severe damage or death, hence why these herbicides are not registered or recommended for domestic use.  For sucker regrowth control, the following chemicals are often used.  1) A mixture of Grazon, Metsulfuron and a Wetting Agent, 2) Access Herbicide + Diesel & 3) Vigilant II Herbicide Gel.  The Vigilant Gel is the safest option as it is a cut-and-paint application method that reduces damage to non-target species.  

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered to control Scotch Thistle (Onopordum acanthium).  We suggest herbicides such as MCPA 750 Herbicide, Kamba 750 Herbicide (Dicamba) or Clopyralid Herbicide as better options to control Scotch Thistle. 

The label for Grazon Extra Herbicide advises that stock grazing treated pastures are not subject to a withholding period (WHP) when the herbicide is used as directed.   This applies to domestic animal commodities destined for human consumption and has no bearing on livestock remaining on the property.

We do not ship Grazon Extra Herbicide outside of Australia.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered for or claims any control over stinging nettle.  We recommend products such as 2,4-DB 500SC Herbicide, Bromicide 200 Selective Herbicide, or 2,4-D Ester 680 Herbicide for stinging nettle control.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is approved under Permit 12942 to control Giant Devil's Fig.  It requires a tank mix of 350-500mL Grazon Extra plus 10gm Metsulfuron Methyl in 100L Water plus a suitable wetting agent or penetrant. Apply a maximum of 2 times yearly at a minimum interval of 60 days. Do not use products containing picloram and triclopyr (i.e. Grazon Extra) within 5 m of a  waterway. Ensure spray covers all foliage and stems as incomplete application will result in regrowth.

The label for Grazon Extra Herbicide states it can be mixed with Starane (Fluroxypyr) and Statesman 720 (2,4-D) Herbicides.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered for control of Cherokee rose multi multiflora.  Roses are broadleaf species of plants that are likely to be highly susceptible to this herbicide and the active ingredients it is made from.  Grazon Extra and a wetting agent applied to all the Cherokee Rose foliage should be sufficient to control the plant.

The compatibility for Grazon Extra Herbicide is available in the directions for use (page 15) on the Specialist Sales website.  It advised that Grazon Extra Herbicide is compatible with Metsufluron-Methyl.

The recommended time to treat African Boxthorn is from August to February, when the plants are actively growing.  However, geographic areas and climatic conditions will differ, and these times may be extended.  The general rule is that if the plant is actively growing with sap flowing, you can apply the chemicals.  

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered for the control of Cactus. There are approximately 127 genera of plants in the Catus family, so identifying the plant you want to control is essential. Quite often, plants such as prickly pear are confused with Cactus. Prickly Pear or Pear Cactus is a genus of flowering plants in the cactus family, and Grazon Extra is registered to control this plant.  

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered to have any control over Cobbler's Pegs / Farmers Friends.  Recommend products for this purpose include Fluroxypyr Herbicides (i.e. Starane Advanced), 24D Amine 625 Herbicide, Dicamba 500SL Selective Herbicide & Tordon 75D Herbicides.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is a selective herbicide that only targets certain broadleaf species.  Provided it is applied at the correct rates, it should not kill the grass.  Note that Buffalo is a broadleaf variety and is likely to be susceptible to Grazon Extra.  If the chemical is being applied by high volume hand spraying, the volume of the chemical will likely be higher than recommended.  The result may be some damage to the grass due to phytotoxicity.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered in domestic garden situations or turf.  We do not recommend it in these situations.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered for application with Gas Powered Guns (i.e. Splatter Guns) @ 335mL-500mL per 10L Water to control various weeds.  Unfortunately, Lantana is not one of the species listed for this application technique.  You may like to trial the application 'off-label' to see if it is adequate for your requirements.  See Table D in the 'directions for use' booklet.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is only registered for foliar spray applications.  For Cut Stump and Basal bark applications on Wattle, we recommend Access Herbicide, Garlon 600 (Triclopyr), Tordon Regrowthmaster or equivalents to Tordon DSH.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is formulated only to be mixed with water.  There are only a small number of herbicides compatible to be mixed with Diesel.  These include Access Herbicide, Fluroxypyr Herbicides (i.e. Starane) and Triclopyr Herbicides (Garlon 600).  Of these herbicides, only Access Herbicide has claims to control Mulga.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered to control Ivy.  We suggest looking at Garlon 600 Herbicide as it has claims to control English Ivy (when mixed with Glyphosate).  Research on this product is strongly recommended, and care must be undertaken as Garlon will kill trees and other woody, broadleaf species.  Do not treat Ivy growing up trees or on other plants as the host's death may result.

Grazon Extra does not claim to control any sorrel species.  The main chemicals recommended for sorrel control in pasture include 24D Amine, MCPA, Bromoxynil & MCPA, Bromoxynil 200, Dicamba 500, Dicamba M, Picloram & MCPA, Diflufenican + Bromoxynil & Metsulfuron Methyl.  

Grazon Extra Herbicide will control Siam Weed and many thistle varieties.  A good mix for these weeds is;

Grazon Extra Herbicide @ 35-50mL per 10L Water

Metsulfuron Methyl Herbicide @ 1gm per 10L Water

Consume Penetrant @ 10mL per 10L Water

Spray marker dyes are compatible with Grazon Extra Herbicide when spraying Blackberry so you can see which bushes have been sprayed.

Grazon Extra Herbicide does not claim to control or kill agapanthus.  Specialist Sales recommends Vigilant II Herbicide Gel (Picloram & Aminopyralid) for agapanthus control.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not recommended or registered for domestic applications and definitely not in turf situations.  The active ingredients in Grazon Extra can cause severe damage or death to off-target species in domestic areas plus there is also residual concerns with the Aminopyralid that you would not want in a garden situation.

Grazon Extra Herbicide does not have an optimum pH level for use listed on the products label.  If you are worried about the quality of the water being mixed with the Grazon Extra, you should consider the option to use an Acidifying/buffering agent.  Acidifying/buffering agents adjust the pH of alkaline or acidic water and minimise decomposition of the pesticide through alkaline hydrolysis.  We recommend the best results will be achieved with Grazon Extra when mixed with a Polyether Modified Polysiloxane Adjuvant such as Pulse, Eurochem, or Consume.  These adjuvants spread, stick and forces the chemical into the plant

Grazon Extra Herbicide is not registered or recommended for use in domestic gardens.  Grazon targets broadleaf species, so it will be lethal on plants such as roses, hedges, shrubs & trees.  The Aminopyralid & Picloram used to make Grazon Extra have residual effects.  The main herbicides that can contaminate soils and compost include Aminopyralid and Picloram, both found in Grazon Extra.  Grazon Extra is not recommended for use on any turf or lawn situations.  It will definitely kill broadleaf lawn species such as Buffalo Turf.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to control Spear Thistle, Blackberry, Sweetbriar & St John's wort.  Application rates are listed in the directions for use on the Specialist Sales website in the 'SDS and Technical' tab.

Grazon Extra Herbicide does have any claims to control Wandering Jew and is unlikely to affect the weed.  We would recommend herbicides made from Fluroxypyr.  For example, Starane Advanced Herbicide is mixed at 9mL per 1-Litre Water.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is compatible with Glyphosate 450, Metsulfuron-methyl, Roundup CT, Starane Advanced (Fluroxypyr), Statesman 720 (2,4-D) & Stinger Herbicide (Aminopyralid).

The best practice is to keep your dogs away from any sprayed areas until the spray has dried.  As dogs do not 'graze' on grass as a food source, the risk of them ingesting a toxic quantity is very low.

Grazon Extra Herbicide is registered to target specific species (mainly broadleaf) without harming grasses.  Grazon Extra is unlikely to have any effect on controlling Rat's Tail Grass.  Rat's Tail Grass is usually sprayed with Flupropanate or Glyphosate Herbicides.

Although not stated on the products label, removing horses while you are spraying is considered best practice.  The reentry period is usually long enough for the chemical to dry and be translocated through the plant.  24-hours would be more than adequate.

You do need to be aware of any plants that may become poisonous once sprayed.  Poisonous plants may become more palatable after spraying and stock should be kept away from these
plants until they have died down.  Many plants remain poisonous after death, and stock
should not be allowed access, as there is a likelihood that they may graze the dead material. Such material should be burnt if possible.

The Withholding Periods for Grazon Extra are only applicable for livestock destined for slaughter or export markets.
