Surefire Broma Liquid Rodenticide, containing Bromadiolone, is a liquid bait for rats and mice control. Broma Liquid Rodenticide can be applied where rats and mice pests occur, including industrial and domestic premises, food processing, factories, stores, laundries, canteens, bakeries, restaurants, boiler houses, hotels and motels.

Bromadiolone is an effective ingredient in rodenticides due to a few key factors:

• Anticoagulant Action: Bromadiolone interferes with the rodent’s ability to clot blood. This leads to internal bleeding and eventually death. This method is effective because it doesn’t cause immediate symptoms, so rodents are likelier to consume a lethal dose before becoming wary.   
• Potency: Bromadiolone is a “second-generation” anticoagulant, meaning it’s more potent than older rodenticides like warfarin. This means it can be effective with a single feeding, unlike some older poisons that require multiple doses over several days.   
• Broad Spectrum: It’s effective against a variety of rodent species, including rats and mice.

How do you use Surefire Broma Liquid Rodenticide

• Situation: Apply where pests occur, e.g., food processing, factories, stores, laundries, restaurants, boiler houses, hotels and motels.
• Pests controlled: Rats and Mice
• Mixing Rate: 100mL per 900mL water
• Critical Comments: Stir well to ensure mixing.
• Baiting Strategy: 
  • Eliminate, as far as practicable, all alternative food and drink sources. 
  • Place approximately 150 mL of prepared Surefire Broma Liquid Rodenticide solution in non-corrosive lockable bait stations in a sheltered position near rodent entry points. 
  • Inspect daily. 
  • If taken quickly, increase the amount of baits.
  • Continue observation and replenishment until no more bait is taken. 
  • Baiting for at least 2 weeks is necessary to reduce rat/mouse numbers.
  • Surefire Broma Liquid Rodenticide can be used in conjunction with other Surefire rodenticide baits.

While an effective rodenticide, bromadiolone’s potency also makes it a concern for environmental and wildlife safety. It can persist in the environment and can harm predators that consume poisoned rodents. Surefire Broma Liquid Rodenticide is recommended to be used in bait stations positioned in locations that are inaccessible to other animals and birds (domestic animals, livestock, non-target native animals or birds.)
