CattlePro Pour-On for Beef & Dairy Cattle

Tips For Use

• CattlePro is formulated only for external application to cattle; do not use in other species. 
• The formulation should be applied along the topline in a narrow strip extending from the withers to the tailhead. 
• The dose is 1mL for each 10kg of live weight.
• Dose the mob according to the heaviest animal by live weight in each group (cows, bulls, calves, heifers, etc.). When there is a large variation in size within the group, draft into two or more lines based on body weight to avoid overdosing. 
• Do not underdose. Cattle should be weighed with either scales or with a weigh band.
• Do not use in pregnant cows less than seven days before calving
• Treatment should not be repeated in less than 42 days.
• Efficacy of Cattlepro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle is not adversely affected when the hide is wet or if rainfall occurs shortly after treatment.  However, it is not considered good agricultural practice to treat animals if they are wet or rain is likely.

Dung Beetle and Earthworm Information:

• When used according to label directions, CattlePro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle is not likely to have an unintended effect that is harmful to the environment or have an overall adverse effect on dung beetle or earthworm populations. 
• Increased mortality and impaired development of dung beetle larvae may be expected, but for a limited period after treatment.
• There may also be a short-term indirect effect on the rate of earthworm colonisation of dung pats.

General Directions:

• For best results, Cattlepro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle should be part of a total parasite control programme, including internal and external parasites.
• Consult your veterinarian for a complete parasite control programme.

Administration:

• Efficacy of Cattlepro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle is not adversely affected when the hide is wet or if rainfall occurs shortly after treatment.
• However, it is not considered the good agricultural practice to treat animals if they are wet or rain is likely. Use dosing equipment compatible with Cattlepro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle.
• Follow manufacturer’s directions for use and care of equipment.
• Other dosing equipment may be incompatible, resulting in locking, incorrect dosing and leakage.

Connect the pour-on applicator to the pack as follows:

• Attach the open end of the draw-off tubing to the dosing gun and attach the draw-off tubing to the cap with the stem.
• Replace the shipping cap with the supplied cap with the stem for attaching the draw-off tubing and tighten this cap.
• Gently prime the pour-on applicator, checking for leaks.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas or outdoors.
• Close container when not in use.

Notes:

• Cloudiness may result when Cattlepro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle is stored at temperatures below 0^oC.
• Allowing to warm at room temperature will restore the normal appearance without affecting efficacy.
• The antiparasitic activity of ivermectin will be impaired if the formulation is applied to areas of skin with mange scabs, lesions, dermatoses, or adherent materials, e.g. caked mud or manure.
• This product is for application to the skin surface only, do not give orally or parenterally.
• Cattlepro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle is not recommended for use in species other than cattle.

Note to User:

• The colour of Cattlepro Pour-on For Beef And Dairy Cattle may fade when exposed to light.
• This loss of colour does not reflect the loss of potency of ivermectin.
• However, prolonged exposure (i.e. weeks) to light can result in a gradual decline of ivermectin potency in the formulation.

Safety to Cattle:

• Field studies have demonstrated a wide safety margin.
• The topically applied formulation is expected to be well tolerated by breeding animals.

Danger:

• Gives off highly flammable vapour.
• Keep away from heat, sparks, open flame or other ignition sources.
• Keep closed when not in use.

Storage: 

• Store below 30 Degrees Celsius (room temperature).  Protect from light.

Safety Directions:

• Poisonous if swallowed.
• It will irritate the eyes and skin.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• If the product gets on the skin, immediately wash the area with soap and water.
• If the product gets in the eyes, wash it out immediately with water.
• Wash hands after use.
