Tips For Use

General Instructions

• Apply along the topline in a narrow strip from the withers to the tailhead only.
• Dose the mob according to the heaviest animal by liveweight in each group. When there is a large variation in bodyweight, draft into two or more lines to avoid overdosing.
• Do not underdose. Weigh cattle using scales or a weighband before treatment.
• Do not repeat treatment in less than 42 days.
• This product is registered for use in cattle and red deer only. Do not use in other species.

Precautions

• The antiparasitic activity of ivermectin will be impaired if the product is applied to areas of skin with mange scabs, lesions, dermatoses, or adherent materials such as caked mud or manure.
• This product is for external application to the skin surface only. Do not administer orally or parenterally.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Close the container when not in use.
• Cloudiness may result if the product is stored below 0°C. Allowing the product to return to room temperature restores normal appearance without affecting efficacy.

Note to User

• The colour of Ivomec Pour-On for Cattle may fade on exposure to light. Rapid colour fading does not indicate loss of potency. However, prolonged exposure over weeks can result in a gradual decline in ivermectin potency. Store the bottle in its carton to protect from light.

Danger

• Gives off highly flammable vapour.
• Keep away from heat, sparks, open flame, and other sources of ignition.
• Keep the container closed when not in use.

Protection of Fish, Crustaceans, and the Environment

• Do not contaminate dams, rivers, or streams.
• When ivermectin contacts soil, it binds tightly and becomes inactive over time. However, free ivermectin may adversely affect fish and certain water-borne organisms. Dispose of containers and residual contents safely at an approved landfill.
• Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. Do not burn empty containers or product.
• Break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers at a local authority landfill. If not available, bury below 500 mm in a disposal pit clear of waterways, vegetation, and roots.

Storage

• Store below 30°C (room temperature).
• Store the bottle in its original carton to protect it from light.

Safety Directions

• Poisonous if swallowed.
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
• If the product contacts skin, wash the area immediately with soap and water.
• If product contacts eyes, wash immediately with water.
• Wash your hands after use.
