Bromakil Grain Bait For Rats and Mice (Bromadiolone) BROMAKIL-GRAIN De Sangosse

Description

Bromakil Bromadiolone Grain Bait for Rats and Mice is a ready-to-use cereal grain rodenticide containing 0.05 g/kg bromadiolone, a second-generation anticoagulant active constituent registered by De Sangosse Australia Pty Ltd for the control of rats and mice. This product suits use in and around industrial, commercial, agricultural and domestic buildings, delivering reliable knockdown through a palatable grain carrier that drives strong bait acceptance, even in areas with competing food sources. Furthermore, the ready-to-use format requires no mixing or preparation, making deployment across bait stations fast and straightforward.

Bromadiolone acts by preventing blood coagulation, causing rodents to die from internal haemorrhaging, typically within 3 to 7 days of consuming a lethal dose. As a result, rodents do not associate bait consumption with death, which reduces bait shyness and supports sustained population knockdown throughout the control program. Notably, a single feed is sufficient to deliver a lethal dose to both rats and mice, making Bromakil effective even when rodent feeding is intermittent.

  3. Q Is the dead carcass of a rat baited with Bromakil Grain Bait deadly to dogs
Asked by Sherree Mostert on December 14, 2021 12:32 am
    Answered by the admin

The Bromakil Grain Bait For Rats and Mice is made from Bromadiolone.  This active ingredient is a single-dose anticoagulant and is considered toxic as a day's feeding can deliver a poisonous dose. Because it can take a rodent several days to die, animals that consume a lethal dose may continue to eat the bait before they die.  Mammals (including dogs), birds and other wildlife that eat poisoned rodents may receive a lethal dose.  Rodenticides made from Bromadiolone have a high secondary poisoning risk to birds and mammals (including dogs).  If you are looking for rodenticides with lower secondary poisoning risks, then products made from Coumatetralyl (i.e. Racumin or Surefire Couma Blocks) or Difenacoum (Surefire Difenate) are recommended.  Note though these products are still poisons, and secondary poisoning can still occur.
