Although Surefire Mosquito & Midge Slayer and Zeus Bifenthrin Termiticide And Insecticide contain the same active 'bifenthrin', they are formulated to suit different situations and applications. The Surefire Mosquito & Midge Slayer control adult mosquitoes and midges on external surfaces of buildings & structures. Zeus Bifenthrin Termiticide And Insecticide is a residual action pesticide featuring an extensive label ranging from Subterranean termites through to common external house pests and extending to control of crop pests on bananas, sugar cane, citrus, tomatoes, stone fruit, canola, Lucerne and wheat. Always read the 'directions for use' carefully to ensure suitability to your situation.

  4. I have recently purchased a house that is close to a river which will no doubt experience midges and mozzies. Its a 2 story qlder, down stairs being opened up. I am wanting to ensure I use this to reduce the amount of pests on the property but i am chasing some guidance. From my research I would be best to buy this produce, as opposed to Zeus. My best approach would be to mix up the the correct ratio and spray under the house and also vegetation where the insects may rest during the day, but at either dusk or dawn. This will also include a spray of the perimeter of the house. I will also apply a coat on my deck which is on the second floor. Does this approach sound like something you would recommend or what would you suggest? Happy if you recommend a few products to combine to get on top of them. Thanks heaps, looking forward to making it my life mission to get rid of the pests in my new house!

Mosquito & Midge Slayer is one of the most effective ways to repel mosquitoes and midges. Mosquito & Midge Slayer contains bifenthrin which works via direct and residual contact. For external use as a residual surface treatment,  perimeter treatment and in harbourage sites. We also recommend AntagonistPro Residual Insecticide, Australia's only polymer-enhanced bifenthrin formulation. This technology helps overcome harsh environmental factors that break down ordinary pyrethroid treatments ensuring AntagonistPro Residual Insecticide controls pests for longer than standard formulations. AntagonistPro can be used internally and externally as a residual surface treatment, perimeter treatment and in harbourage sites. Always read the 'directions for use' carefully before ensuring suitability to your situation.

Mosquito & Midge Slayer Insecticide is not registered or recommended to be used in areas other than external surfaces of buildings & structures. If it is sprayed onto vegetables or garden plants in error, we recommend hosing the chemical off as soon as possible. We do not recommend the application of Mosquito & Midge Slayer Insecticide onto pastures where livestock will be grazing as a withholding period has not been defined for this application.

Mosquito & Midge Slayer Insecticide is made from Bifenthrin. Other formulations of Bifenthrin are registered for use on specific plants and crops, such as Zeus Insecticide & Fivestar Insecticide but for vegetable crops, you may need to consider specialised products such as Success Ultra.
