Effectivoil Spray Adjuvant is a highly penetrating spray adjuvant suitable for use with agricultural chemicals, certain post-emergent herbicides, fungicides and Insecticides to enhance their performance. It improves herbicide performance by utilising the excellent penetration effect of esterified vegetable oils in combination with the wetting and spreading characteristics of non-ionic surfactants.

Effectivoil provides excellent penetration & absorption of pesticides through wax-coated plant surfaces. Fatty Acids in the formulation provides superior wetting and spreading of pesticide sprays.

Effectivoil can be added to certain post-emergent herbicides to increase efficiency. In some situations, Effectivoil may reduce selectivity. Care must be exercised when applying Effectivoil with post-emergent herbicides on sensitive crops under conditions where plants are subject to drought stress, high temperatures, and high humidity. If in doubt use precaution and trial by application to a small area before committing to a large scale application

Effectivoil is widely used with broadacre cereal herbicides where a crop oil is used with the spray, with woody weed control herbicides where spray penetration is required, and in horticulture.

Directions Of Use

General Rates Agricultural Chemicals:

Broadacre & Boomspray: 300mL – 1L / 100L
Aerial, CDA or ULV: 200mL – 2L / 100L Water
Hand Gun (Spot Spraying): 150mL – 300mL / 100L Water (1.5mL – 3mL per 1 Litre Water)
Knapsack: 15mL – 20mL / 10L Water. (1.5mL – 2mL per 1 Litre Water)

Situation: Post Emergent Herbicides

Application Rate: 0.3 – 1L per 100L Water.

Critical Comments:

Effectivoil Spray Adjuvant may be used in place of non-ionic surfactants or crop oils.
Subject to spray volumes, usage rates may vary between 0.2-2.0 Litres of Effectivoil per hectare.

Tips For Use

Precautions:

Read all directions for use on the Effectivoil label and on the herbicide label.
The herbicide manufacturer’s directions and recommendations always take precedence over directions contained on the label.

Mixing And Spraying:

Follow directions on the herbicide label.
Half fill the spray tank with water and add the required amount of herbicide while agitating.
Top up the tank with water then add the required amount of Effectivoil and continue agitating while spraying.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children.
Store in the closed original container, in a well-ventilated area as cool as possible.
Protect from frost.
Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
Under conditions below zero degrees, Celcius Effectivoil may thicken and become cloudy.
It returns to a normally clear liquid state above zero degrees Celcius.

Safety Directions:

May irritate the eyes and skin.
Avoid contact with skin or eyes.
Avoid inhaling vapour or spray mist.
When opening the container and preparing the spray, wear overalls, rubber gloves and goggles or a disposable spray shield.
After each day’s use wash contaminated clothing, gloves and face shield or goggles with soap and water.
