What diseases does Ozcrop Carbendazim 500SC Fungicide control;

  • Chocolate spot (Botrytisfabae)
  • Grey Mould (Botrytis cinerea)
  • Macadamia Husk Spot (Pseudocercospora macadamiae)

Ozcrop Carbendazim 500SC Fungicide is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole fungicide that disrupts cell division in fungi. It  is considered a good option for controlling fungal diseases in Macadamia Nuts, Chickpeas, Faba Beans, Lentils, and Vetch due to several key factors:

  • Broad-Spectrum Fungicidal Activity: Carbendazim is a systemic benzimidazole fungicide that effectively controls a wide range of fungal pathogens
  • Systemic Action: Carbendazim is absorbed by the plant and translocated within, protecting both treated and new growth. This helps in preventing reinfection and ensures longer-lasting control.
  • Protectant and Curative Properties: Carbendazim Fungicides are a protective fungicide when applied before infection occurs. It also has curative properties, preventing early-stage infections from spreading.
  • Cost-Effective Solution: It provides broad coverage with a single active ingredient, making it an economical choice for farmers.

Ozcrop Carbendazim 500 SC Fungicide is a member of the benzimidazole group of fungicides (Group 1 Fungicide).

Carbendazim SC Fungicide formulations are a liquid suspension and mixed with water for application as a spray. When mixing, add the required quantity of Carbendazim to a partly filled spray tank and agitate, complete filling while agitating and ensure the spray mixture is properly agitated before restarting after stoppage. The addition of a wetting agent to the spray mixture improves the distribution of the spray on hard-to-wet plants.

Ozcrop Carbendazim 500SC Fungicide is of low toxicity to bees. However, it is very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.

Tips For Use

Mixing/Application:

  • Shake Well Before Use.
  • Ozcrop Carbendazim 500SC Fungicide is a liquid suspension to be mixed with water for application as a spray.
  • Add the required quantity of Ozcrop Carbendazim 500 SC Fungicide to a partly filled spray tank and agitate.
  • Compete filling while agitating.
  • Ensure the spray mixture is properly agitated before restarting after stoppage.

Addition Of Wetting Agent:

  • The addition of a wetting agent to the spray mixture improves the distribution of the spray on hard-to-wet plants.

Tree Crops:

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed to apply high volumes of water up to the point of run-off and match the crop being sprayed.
  • Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy.
  • Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of run-off.
  • Avoid excessive run-off.
  • The required water volume may be determined by applying different test volumes using different settings on the sprayer, from industry guidelines to expert advice.
  • Add the amount of product specified in the Directions for Use table for each 100L of water.
  • Spray to the point of run-off.
  • The required dilute spray volume will change the sprayer set-up, and operation may also need to be changed as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying

  • Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying (that is, a sprayer that applies water volumes less than those required to reach the point of run-off) and match to the crop being sprayed.
  • Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen water volume.
  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume (see Dilute Spraying above) for the crop canopy. This is needed to calculate the concentrate mixing rate.

Precautions:

  • Keep away from foodstuffs.

Re-Entry Period:

  • Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried unless wearing cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemical-resistant gloves.
