Description

Apex Evergreen 21-3-6 Fertiliser

Apex Evergreen 21-3-6 Fertiliser is a professionally coated nursery fertiliser to provide the sustained release of nutrients for up to 8 to 9 months for plants in containers, potting media, planting beds, and open fields. Apex Evergreen Fertilisers are manufactured with all the primary nutrients coated for optimum safety and performance.

Apex Evergreen 21-3-6 Fertiliser is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of foliage plants requiring supplemental nutrition from a single flush or continuous feeding. The NPK coating levels are blended to provide a ‘gentle’ start and early root development with more branching and fuller plants. Apex Evergreen encourages Autumnl bud development.

Apex Evergreen 21-3-6 Fertiliser is recommended for all full-season container crops in warmer climates and seasons, plus cooler and moderate coastal climates. Apex Evergreen eliminates the need for a late-season fertiliser top dressing and supplements the loss of nutrients through leaching.

Tips For Use

Application Conversion Table:

  • 1 teaspoon (tsp.) = 5.8gms
  • 1 tablespoon (tblsp.) = 17.2gms
  • ¼ Cup = 56.3gms
  • ½ Cup = 111.9gms
    • Note – Level Measure, not heaped.

Application Precautions:

  • A trial before use of this product under your local growing conditions, application methods, and desired rates.
  • Avoid application to plants under stress.
  • If mixed media is not used within one week, leach thoroughly before using.
  • Any product left in media for more than one week will lose longevity resulting in reduced release time and wasted controlled-release fertiliser.
  • Avoid using media processing equipment that could change the integrity of the polymer coating.
  • Avoid mounding of fertiliser against the base of the plant.
  • Iron and other plant nutrients can cause the staining of cement.
  • Keep away from pools, ponds, and other bodies of water.
  • When using potting media with higher cation exchange capacities, use lower recommended rates of this formulation.
  • When using a supplemental liquid feed, reduce the rate of this formulation accordingly.
  • Do not incorporate into media before steam sterilisation.
  • This product is not recommended for dibble applications.
  • To avoid the buildup of soluble salts, occasional leaching may be necessary.

Application Tips:

Top dressing:

  • Evenly apply to the base of the plant keeping fertiliser away from the main trunk or stem.
  • Water in well after application with a rose-type spray to minimise water blast of granules from the pot.

Incorporation:

  • Mix well into the soil profile, ensuring even application.

General:

  • The release period is governed by soil temperature.
  • Use high rates for fast-draining soils or mixtures of low fertility and for fast-growing species watered frequently.
  • Use medium rates when;
    • Used on sensitive crops.
    • When soil temperatures are very high.
    • When liquid feeding is used two to three times per week.

Caution:

  • Applying fertiliser materials containing molybdenum (Mo) may result in forage crops containing levels of molybdenum (Mo) that are toxic to ruminant animals.

Warning:

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Causes skin irritation.
  • Causes eye irritation.
  • It may cause respiratory irritation.

Precautionary Statements:

  • Avoid breathing dust.
