Renegade 800 WG Herbicide RENEGADE Indigo Specialty Products

Description

Renegade 800 WG Herbicide

Active Ingredient: Bromacil @ 800g/kg

Similar or comparable to Uragan WG Herbicide (ADAMA)

Renegade 800 WG Herbicide controls certain annual broadleaved weeds and grasses in citrus, pineapples, asparagus, and in commercial and industrial areas, rights of way, along fencelines, and around agricultural buildings. Renegade 800 WG Herbicide is a pre-emergent soil residual herbicide that can be used for extended control of both grass and broadleaf weeds. It is particularly strong on grass weed species. The product contains 800g/kg Bromacil and is ideal for use where control of hard-to-kill and resistant weeds are present.

Renegade 800 WG Herbicide is highly compatible with non-selective knockdown herbicides (such as glyphosate), allowing immediate control of existing weeds. Once in the soil, Renegade acts to control germinating weeds for up to 12 months, reducing the need for multiple herbicide applications.

Why choose Renegade 800 WG Herbicide;

  • Controls annual broadleaf weeds and grasses in various situations (citrus, pineapples, asparagus, industrial/commercial areas, along fencelines and rights of way).
  • Pre-emergent soil residual herbicide for extended control (up to 12 months).
  • Strong on grass weed species.
  • Contains 800g/kg Bromacil.
  • Compatible with non-selective knockdown herbicides (e.g., glyphosate and glufosinate).
  • Disrupts photosynthesis at the photosystem II pathway.
  • Absorbed through weed roots and translocated upward.
  • Wettable Granule formulation (easier to use than wettable powder).
  • Non-Scheduled chemical.
  • Available in 2kg and 5kg pack sizes.

What weeds does Renegade 800 WG Herbicide control;

Annual Ragweed Crowsfoot Sourgrass
Annual Ryegrass Doublegee (Spiny Emex, Three-cornered Jack) Stinking Roger
Barley Grass Fat Hen Summer Grass
Barnyard Grass Guinea Grass Thickhead
Bathurst Burr Khaki Weed (seedling) Thornapple (Stramonium)
Billygoat Weed or Bluetop Noogoora Burr Wild Mustard
Brome Grass Paterson’s Curse Wild Oats
Caltrop Prairie grass Wild Radish
Capeweed Red Natal Grass Wild Turnip
Cobbler’s pegs Saffron Thistle Winter Grass

Tips to maximise the performance of Renegade 800 WG Herbicide;

To maximise long-term residual performance, target bare soil, ensuring good even coverage. When weeds are already present, Renegade 800 WG Herbicide should be applied with a non-selective knockdown herbicide, e.g. glyphosate, glufosinate or paraquat and a suitable non-ionic surfactant. Apply within 10 weeks of germinating winter weeds – usually in June to August. Long term residual control may not be as effective where heavy organic matter loads prevent Renegade from reaching the soil and the root zone. The best results will be achieved where rain occurs within a week of application. Retreat as weeds begin to reappear on sites where growth has been controlled. Use lower rates on lighter soils low in clay or organic matter and higher rates on heavier soils high in clay or organic matter.

For best results when using Renegade 800 WG Herbicide;

  • Apply Renegade 800 WG shortly before weed growth occurs to moist, well-prepared trash and clod-free soil.
  • Well-established weeds should be removed before applying the product.
  • Actively growing weeds up to about 10 cm in height may be controlled, but a wetting agent must be used.
  • Do not cultivate soil surface after application as efficacy may be reduced and/or crop injury may result.
  • For best results, sufficient moisture, either by rainfall or irrigation, is required within 3-4 days of treatment to carry the product into the soil.
  • With irrigation, thoroughly wet the entire area.
  • Where rainfall is limited during the growth period, control of deep-rooted, hard-to-kill weeds will not be satisfactory.

Renegade 800 WG Herbicide contains Bromacil. This active ingredient is a member of the Uracils group of herbicides. Its mode of action is as a photosynthesis disrupter acting to inhibit photosynthesis at the photosystem II pathway. Renegade 800 WG Herbicide is mainly absorbed through weed roots and is translocated upward to the foliage via the xylem. Effects on existing weeds may not become apparent until Renegade has reached the root zone and has been absorbed and distributed within the plant. The level of control and duration of effect will depend on soil type, rainfall and the rate applied.

  • Do not spray under weather conditions or from sprayer equipment that may cause spray to drift over nearby susceptible plants or crops, cropping lands or pastures.
    • Asparagus: Do not apply to newly seeded asparagus, or to young plants during the first growing season after setting or to plants whose roots are exposed.
    • Citrus: Use with caution on light sandy soils as yellowing may occur. Treated area for asparagus and citrus – Do not replant any crops within three (3) years of the last application, as injury may occur.
