*15.50% Slowly available urea nitrogen from polymer-coated urea and polymer-coated sulphur-coated urea.

Why choose Poly Supreme Fertiliser;

  • It Combines two forms of slow-release nitrogen and a homogeneous pellet to provide the proper ratio of nitrogen, phosphate, potash, and iron.
  • 15.50% of Total Nitrogen is controlled release from GAL-XeONE (polymer-coated urea) and X-COTE (polymer-coated sulphur-coated urea).
  • Specially formulated slow-release nitrogen is added for up to 16 weeks of response.
  • The iron in Poly Supreme Fertiliser 23-2-8 with GAL-XeONE is part of a homogeneous pellet which virtually eliminates the possibility of staining valuable concrete walks, driveways, cart paths, mow strips, etc.
  • It contains sulphate of potash to aid the professional turf manager where chlorides may be of concern.

What are the general application rates for Poly Supreme Fertiliser;

  • Turfgrass: Broadcast at 3.2kg per 100m2. (330kg per Hectare)
  • Preplant: Broadcast at 3.6kg per 100m2 (364kg per Hectare)
  • Groundcover: Broadcast at 2.4kg per 100m2 (244kg per Hectare)
  • Shrubs & Evergreens: Sprinkle ¼ cup (57gm) evenly around the plant’s drip line and work into the top 3cm of soil.
  • Trees: Apply 227gm per 2.5cm of trunk diameter. Distribute evenly under branches out to the drip line.

Why is the effective ratio of nutrients included in Poly Supreme Fertiliser important;
Nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, sulphur, iron, and manganese are all important nutrients for turf, horticultural and garden plants. They are included in Poly Supreme Fertiliser in an effective ratio.

  • Nitrogen (N) is essential for plant growth, as it is a major chlorophyll component responsible for photosynthesis. It is also a component of amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins. Nitrogen is often the most limiting nutrient for plant growth and is required in large amounts.
  • Phosphorus (P) is important for root development and for producing flowers, fruits, and seeds. It is also involved in converting light energy to chemical energy in plants. Phosphorus is usually in small amounts in most soils and is often a limiting nutrient.
  • Potassium (K) is involved in many aspects of plant growth, including photosynthesis, protein synthesis, and regulating water balance within the plant. It is also important for developing strong stems and resistance to disease and stress.
  • Sulphur (S) is important for forming amino acids and proteins and is also involved in producing chlorophyll. It is typically found in sufficient quantities in most soils.
  • Iron (Fe) is necessary for producing chlorophyll, and a deficiency can result in chlorosis or yellowing of the leaves. Iron is not always readily available to plants, particularly in alkaline soils, and may need to be added as a fertiliser.
  • Manganese (Mn) is important for photosynthesis, and a deficiency can also result in chlorosis or yellowing of the leaves. It is also involved in the regulation of other nutrients within the plant.

These nutrients are all important for the growth and development of healthy plants. They are included in Poly Supreme Fertiliser to ensure that plants have access to them in sufficient quantities.

Tips For Use

Application Tips:

  1. Know your soil: Before applying any fertiliser, it’s important to know your soil’s pH level and nutrient content. You can test your soil with a soil test kit or send a sample to a soil testing lab. The test results will help you determine how much fertiliser your lawn needs.
  2. Read the label: Always read the label on the fertiliser package to ensure that you use the right type of fertiliser for your grass and soil. Also, follow the application rate instructions provided on the label.
  3. Apply fertiliser evenly: Apply fertiliser evenly to avoid burning the grass. Use a broadcast or handheld spreader to apply the granular fertiliser evenly across the lawn. Start by applying the fertiliser along the perimeter of the lawn and then work your way towards the centre, overlapping each pass slightly.
  4. Water the lawn: After applying the fertiliser, water the lawn immediately to help the granules dissolve and release the nutrients into the soil. Watering also helps prevent fertiliser from getting blown away by the wind.
  5. Time your applications: Fertilise your lawn during the growing season when the grass is actively growing. Avoid fertilising during the hot summer months or during periods of drought when the grass is dormant.
  6. Avoid over-fertilising: Applying too much fertiliser can lead to grass burning and environmental pollution. Follow the recommended application rates and always err on the side of caution.
  7. Reapply Poly Supreme Fertiliser to turf every 14-16 weeks.

Application Precautions:

  • Apply to dry turf or foliage and irrigate thoroughly immediately after application.
  • Iron and other plant nutrients can cause staining on sidewalks. Sweep walkways before irrigation.
  • Walkways should be dry at the time of application.
  • Keep away from pools, ponds, etc.
  • Do not contaminate potable water.
  • Do not apply with a drop-type spreader.
  • The grinding action of drop-type spreaders can damage the polymer coating, increasing the turf burn potential.

Safety Directions:

  • Warning – causes eye irritation.
  • Wash hands thoroughly after handling.

First Aid:

  • If in the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes.
  • Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do.
  • Continue rinsing.
  • If eye irritation persists, get medical attention.
  • If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or the Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126.
  • For further information, refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
