Description
Glisarin 704 Spray Adjuvant
Active Ingredient: Methyl & ethyl esters of free fatty acids from canola oil @ 704g/L
Similar or comparable to Hasten Spray Adjuvant (Victorian Chemical Company) and Effectivoil Spray Adjuvant (Alphakem)
Glisarin 704 Spray Adjuvant is an esterified oil-based adjuvant with non-ionic surfactants that assist in the effectiveness of herbicides and other agricultural chemicals. Glisarin contains esterified seed oil made by reacting food-grade canola oil with ethanol to produce an ester. Improved herbicide uptake results as Glisarin is highly effective in modifying the wax cuticle of hard-to-control weeds such as annual ryegrass. Glisarin is a superior product to many low-cost crop oil concentrate products.
How does Glisarin 704 Spray Adjuvant improve spray results;
- Increases penetration through waxy cuticles.
- Increases wetting and spreading of spray droplets.
- Reduces spray droplet evaporation rates.
Glisarin 704 Spray Adjuvant is a blend of esterified vegetable oil and non-ionic surfactants that is suitable for use as a Spray Adjuvant with a range of agricultural chemicals, including Herbicides, Insecticides, Fungicides, Defoliants and Desiccants where oil-based adjuvants are specified on the label.
What is the recommended application rate of Glisarin 704 Spray Adjuvant;
When using Glisarin with other Herbicides, Insecticides, Fungicides, Defoliants or Desiccants
- Low Volume – 10-20L per Ha (2-5L per 100L Water)
- Broadacre Boom Spray – 50-100L per Ha (0.5-2.0L per 100L Water)
- High Volume – 200-500L/Ha (0.2-0.5Lper 100L Water
The active ingredients of Glisarin 704 Spray Adjuvant, methyl and ethyl esters of free fatty acids from canola oil, are often used in agricultural sprays as adjuvants. They help improve the effectiveness of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides by:Â Â Â
- Increasing penetration: They help the spray penetrate the waxy surface of plants, allowing the active ingredients to reach their target.  Â
- Improving wetting and spreading: They help the spray spread evenly over the plant surface, ensuring better coverage.  Â
- Reducing evaporation: They slow down the evaporation of the spray, giving it more time to be absorbed by the plant.  Â
- Enhancing rain fastness: They help the spray stick to the plant, even after rainfall.  Â
- Improving drift control: They reduce the drift of spray droplets, minimizing the risk of off-target damage.  Â
These canola oil derivatives act as a “helper” to make sure the farm chemicals work better and stay where they’re supposed to. This leads to:Â Â Â
- Increased efficacy of pesticides: Farmers may need to use less of the active ingredient, saving money and reducing environmental impact.
- Better crop protection: Improved coverage and penetration lead to better control of pests, diseases, and weeds.  Â
