  • Vanquish Long Wool can be applied to wet sheep.

Vanquish Lice Treatment & Blowfly Strike Preventive for Sheep, manufactured by Intervet Coopers Animal Health in Australia, contains Alpha-Cypermethrin at a concentration of 50g/L. Alpha-Cypermethrin is a member of the synthetic pyrethroid chemical group. It controls synthetic pyrethroid-susceptible sheep body lice (Bovicola ovis) sensitive to this family of pesticides.

  • Effective Lice Treatment: Vanquish Lice Treatment & Blowfly Strike Preventive is specifically designed to combat lice infestations in sheep effectively. Alpha-Cypermethrin, the active ingredient, is known for its insecticidal properties and can help control and eliminate lice populations on sheep.
  • Blowfly Strike Prevention: The product also offers preventive measures against blowfly strike, a condition caused by the infestation of blowfly maggots in sheep, which can lead to severe health issues. Regular application of Vanquish can help reduce the risk of blowfly strike, protecting the welfare and health of the sheep.
  • Broad Spectrum Activity: Alpha-Cypermethrin is a broad-spectrum insecticide, meaning it can provide control against various pests, including different species of lice and other ectoparasites that affect sheep. This comprehensive approach helps ensure thorough and effective treatment and prevention.
  • Residual Activity: The presence of Alpha-Cypermethrin in the formulation provides residual activity, which means it continues to offer protection for a certain period after application. This extended period of effectiveness can help maintain the treated sheep’s protection against lice and reduce the risk of re-infestation.
  • Ease of Application: Vanquish Lice Treatment & Blowfly Strike Preventive is designed for convenient backline application. The product is formulated for easy use, allowing for efficient and accurate treatment and prevention measures without excessive handling or stress to the animals.
  • Established Manufacturer: Intervet (Coopers Animal Health) is a reputable manufacturer known for producing veterinary pharmaceuticals. By choosing a product from a trusted company, you can have confidence and peace of mind in the quality and reliability of the formulation.
