Directions for Use:

Warning: The copper / selenium status of sheep should be determined by consultation with a veterinarian prior to the use of this product. 

  • This product must not be applied at a rate greater than the amount shown on the label. 
  • It is important that animals are dosed accurately according to their individual body weights.
  • Discard unused portion of the product within 9 months of broaching container. 
  • Store the broached container upright.

Caution: avoid carcass damage

  1. Sterilise all injection apparatus by boiling (or equivalent) before use.
  2. Avoid use of strong disinfectants on apparatus.
  3. Maintain cleanliness at all times.
  4. Keep needles sharp and clean. Replace frequently.
  5. Use shortest needle possible, certainly not exceeding 15 mm.
  6. As far as possible, avoid injection of animals during wet weather or under dusty conditions.
  7. This product should be injected only under the skin.
  8. If possible, inject high on the neck behind the ear.

Animals may show discomfort immediately after injection. 

Slight local swelling may occur at the injection site and may be observed for a few days after administration.

    Multimin Plus Copper Injection For Sheep recommendations for optimal fertility; Rams: 3 months before joining, and again at joining, and Ewes: 4 weeks before joining, then four weeks before lambing.

Tips For Use

Contraindications: 

  • This product is contraindicated for use when selenium intake from pasture is high or selenium is provided by other means (such as top dressing, vaccine, pellets or selenium drenches) if blood selenium levels at treatment are high. Users can determine selenium status by consulting their veterinarian.
  • Excessive copper is toxic. This product is contraindicated for use unless copper deficiency is confirmed.
  • This product is contraindicated for use in animals that are dehydrated or unwell.

Precautions: 

  • Do not administer to severely debilitated, stressed or drought affected animals. 
  • Do not administer to animals suffering from liver disease. 
  • Do not treat thirsty or exhausted sheep.
  • Allow animals access to water after treatment.
  • Minerals such as copper, cobalt, selenium, iron, manganese and molybdenum compete with each other for metabolically important processes in the animal. Users should seek veterinary advices before treatment.

Storage:

  • Store below 25°C (air conditioning). 
  • Store bottle in outer packaging to protect from light. 
  • Once opened, bottle and unused product should be disposed of after 3 months.

Safety Directions: 

  • May irritate the eyes and skin. 
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin. 
  • Wash hands after use.
