Multimin Evolution Copper-Free Injection supplies three chelated trace minerals in a single subcutaneous dose. It contains 60 g/L zinc as disodium zinc EDTA. In addition, it carries 10 g/L manganese as disodium manganese EDTA and 5 g/L selenium as sodium selenite. Virbac (Australia) Pty Limited registers it for sheep and for beef and dairy cattle.
Producers use it where stock are deficient in, or responsive to, zinc, manganese or selenium. Because the product carries no copper, it suits flocks and herds of unknown or high copper status. Furthermore, it avoids adding copper where pasture or other supplements already supply enough.
When to use Multimin Evolution Copper-Free Injection
Trace mineral demand rises sharply around joining, lambing, calving and weaning. Therefore, most producers treat four weeks before these events. Rams respond best at 12 weeks before joining. Ewe lambs need a dose every three months. Feedlot and trading stock receive a dose at induction.
