Surefire Macromite Miticide MACROMITE-MITICIDE PCT

Description

Surefire Macromite Miticide (Active Ingredient: Bifenazate @ 480g/L)

Similar or comparable to Acramite, Floramite, & Duramite Miticide (Arysta Lifescience)

Surefire Macromite Miticide is used to control two-spotted mites, European red mites, and Bryobia mites in pome fruit, stone fruit, and almonds.

Surefire Macromite Miticide is a selective miticide for the control of plant-eating mite pests on;

  • Apples
  • Pears
  • Apricots
  • Nectarines
  • Peaches
  • Plums
  • Almonds

What pests will Surefire Macromite Miticide control;

  • Two-spotted mite (Tetranychus urticae)
  • European red mite (Panonychus ulmi)
  • Bryobia mite (Bryobia rubrioculus)

When used as directed and applied to the foliage, Macromite provides quick knockdown through contact activity and good residual control.  Macromite is non-systemic in action and therefore complete coverage is required for mite control.  A number of insecticides and fungicides are compatible with  Macromite if mixed in the spray tank and used promptly.  Do not use if rainfall is expected before spray has dried as reduced efficacy may result.

Due to its unique chemistry, mode of action and selective nature, Macromite is relatively inactive against beneficial/predaceous mites and insects and therefore is compatible with IPM and resistance management programs.

Why Choose Surefire Macromite Miticide;

  • Contains the active ingredient Bifenazate.
  • A selective miticide providing quick knockdown of pests through contact activity.
  • Relatively inactive against beneficial/predaceous mites and insects.
  • Residual control.
  • Suited for use in pome fruit, stone fruit and almonds to control various mite species.

The active ingredient in Surefire Macromite Miticide, Bifenazate is an effective pesticide for phytophagous mite control.  Bifenazate has a low water solubility, volatile and would not be expected to leach to groundwater. Bifenate is also not expected to persist in soil or water systems.  Care must be taken when using products made from Bifenazate as they are moderately toxic to most aquatic organisms, honeybees and earthworms.

Tips For Use

Restraints:

  • Do not use if rainfall is expected before spray has dried as reduced efficacy may result.

Crop Monitoring:

  • Effective control depends on regular crop monitoring.
  • Check trees regularly (every 3-5 days) during the season.

Mixing Instructions:

  • Measure the required amount of Surefire Macromite Miticide, add to partly filled spray tank under agitation, and then add the remainder of the water.
  • Use a sprayer designed to apply high volumes of spray solution up to the point of run-off and matched to the crop being sprayed.
  • Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy.
  • Apply sufficient spray solution (Surefire Macromite Miticide + water) to cover the crop to the point of run-off. Avoid excessive run-off.
  • The required amount of spray solution (Surefire Macromite Miticide + water) will change as the crop grows.
  • The required water volume may be determined by applying different test volumes, using different settings on the sprayer, from industry guidelines or expert advice.
  • Surefire Macromite Miticide has been shown to degrade rapidly when mixed and stored with alkaline water. To prevent degradation under alkaline conditions, solutions of Surefire Macromite Miticide must be used promptly (within 24 hours).
