Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide ACELEPRYN-GR Syngenta

Description

Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide

Active Ingredient: Chlorantraniliprole @ 2g/kg

Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide provides unmatched, season-long (up to 6 months) grub and caterpillar control in a single application. The efficiency and longevity of performance mean your turf spaces are protected for longer and because it is exempt from poison scheduling, PPE requirements are reduced.

Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide controls a wide range of insect pests in turf including African Black Beetle, Argentinian Scarab, Billbugs and several species of caterpillars including Cutworm, Sod Webworm and Lawn Armyworm.

Acelepryn Granular Turf Insecticide delivers excellent preventative performance, with optimal results achieved when applied early in the season with the appearance of overwintering adult pests.  The long residual performance of Acelepryn will provide up to 6 months of protection at the higher application rates.  Curative control with Acelepryn on pest outbreaks later in the season can be achieved using the higher recommended application rates. The timing of the application will be dependent on location.

Acelepryn GR sets a new standard in the long-lasting, efficient control of turf pests.  The granule formulation offers you the same benefits as the liquid you know and trust, such as:

  • Season-long control
  • Exemption from poison scheduling
  • High turf safety and low environmental impact

In addition, Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide delivers:

  • A flexible option for tight or difficult to access turf areas such as schools, passive parks and around trees and other obstacles
  • Ease of use with no spray equipment, no re-entry periods and no PPE requirements
  • Ease of activation with irrigation

How to Use Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide:

  • Acelepryn GR is easy to use and can be spread in any professional turf fertiliser spreader.
  • During application check equipment periodically to ensure distribution remains even and effective.
  • For optimal control, irrigate with approximately 6 mm of water immediately after application.
  • Where treating for caterpillars, irrigation and mowing should be delayed for 24 hours.
  • Application rates from 75 kg/ha to 150 kg/ha.
  • Acelepryn GR is a SGN 150

Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide is made from Chlorantraniliprole which opens muscular calcium channels (in particular the ryanodine receptor), rapidly causing paralysis and ultimately death of sensitive species.  Chlorantraniliprole is active in chewing pest insects primarily by ingestion and secondarily by contact.

Rate/Ha: 75kg – 150kg per Hectare (750gm – 1.5kg per 100m2)
Critical Comments: Apply before or at peak egg hatch for maximum control (typically mid-September). Apply the higher rate for early season (mid September) application where long residual protection is required, or in later season applications (mid December onwards) when less sensitive mid instar grubs are present at the time of application, or in cases of high pest pressure. Wash in with minimum 3mm irrigation.

Pest: Argentinian Scarab (Cyclocephala signaticollis)
Rate/Ha: 75kg – 150kg per Hectare (750gm – 1.5kg per 100m2)
Critical Comments: Apply before or at peak egg hatch for maximum control (typically mid December). Rate/Ha: 75kg – 150kg per Hectare (750gm – 1.5kg per 100m2)
Critical Comments: Apply early season (mid September) applications when overwintered adults are first observed, to prevent damage and population build up. Early application is essential to prevent grass damage due to feeding. Use the higher application rates when extended residual performance is required or for later season applications (mid December onwards) or in cases of high pest pressure. Wash in with minimum 3mm irrigation.

The mixing rate for Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide varies from 750gm – 1.5kg per 100m2, depending on the targeted turf pest (refer to the directions for application rates).

    • If applied at 750gm/100m2, a 10kg bag will cover 1333m2.
    • If applied at 1.5kg/100m2, a 10kg bag will cover 666m2.

For optimal control of turf pests when using Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide, irrigate with approximately 6 mm of water immediately after application (except where treating for caterpillars, when irrigation and mowing should be delayed for 24 hours).  Once the Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide granules have been dissolved and leached into the turf's root zone, they will not pose any threat to your dog.  Even if your dog did come in contact with the granules once spread, they would be dispersed so finely that they will not pose any threat to pets.

The withholding period (WHP) for Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide says 'do not graze treated turf/lawn or feed turf/lawn clippings from any treated area to poultry or livestock.'  The WHP only applies to animals used for slaughter, collection, harvesting or use of the animal commodity for human consumption.  If the animals do not fall into this category it is safe to allow reentry back on the turf once the area has dried from irrigation or when the granules have leached into the soil by natural means.
