Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide provides unmatched, season-long (up to 6 months) grub and caterpillar control in a single application. The efficiency and longevity of performance mean your turf spaces are protected for longer and because it is exempt from poison scheduling, PPE requirements are reduced.

Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide controls a wide range of insect pests in turf including African Black Beetle, Argentinian Scarab, Billbugs and several species of caterpillars including Cutworm, Sod Webworm and Lawn Armyworm.

Acelepryn Granular Turf Insecticide delivers excellent preventative performance, with optimal results achieved when applied early in the season with the appearance of overwintering adult pests. The long residual performance of Acelepryn will provide up to 6 months of protection at the higher application rates. Curative control with Acelepryn on pest outbreaks later in the season can be achieved using the higher recommended application rates. The timing of the application will be dependent on location.

How to Use Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide:

Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide is made from Chlorantraniliprole which opens muscular calcium channels (in particular the ryanodine receptor), rapidly causing paralysis and ultimately death of sensitive species. Chlorantraniliprole is active in chewing pest insects primarily by ingestion and secondarily by contact.

Acelepryn GR is a highly sought-after product for the control of a wide range of insect pests in turf, including African Black Beetle, Argentinian Scarab, Billbugs and several species of caterpillars, including Cutworm, Sod Webworm and Lawn Armyworm, with a residual performance that will provide up to 6 months of protection when used as directed. The mixing rate for Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide varies from 750gm – 1.5kg per 100m2, depending on the targeted turf pest (refer to the directions for application rates).

If applied at 750gm/100m², a 10kg bag will cover 1333m².

If applied at 1.5kg/100m², a 10kg bag will cover 666m².

If insect pests cause the brown patches in your turf, then you can choose only to treat the affected areas. Continue to monitor the turf closely for further damage and treat as required.

For optimal control of turf pests when using Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide, irrigate with approximately 6 mm of water immediately after application (except where treating for caterpillars, when irrigation and mowing should be delayed for 24 hours). Once the Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide granules have been dissolved and leached into the turf's root zone, they will not pose any threat to your dog. Even if your dog did come in contact with the granules once spread, they would be dispersed so finely that they will not pose any threat to pets.

The withholding period (WHP) for Acelepryn GR Turf Insecticide says 'do not graze treated turf/lawn or feed turf/lawn clippings from any treated area to poultry or livestock.' The WHP only applies to animals used for slaughter, collection, harvesting or use of the animal commodity for human consumption. If the animals do not fall into this category it is safe to allow reentry back on the turf once the area has dried from irrigation or when the granules have leached into the soil by natural means.

Acelepryn Granular Turf Insecticide is an anthranilic diamide insecticide in the form of a dry granule.
Acelepryn Granular Turf Insecticide delivers excellent preventative performance, with optimal results achieved when applied early in the season with the appearance of overwintering adult pests.

Compatibility:

As formulations of other manufacturer’s granular products are beyond the control of Syngenta, blends with other products is not recommended as products of differing size granules may result in uneven applications.

Application:

The use of a professional spreader or equivalent that can be calibrated for even output is essential for optimal product performance.
The equipment must be calibrated as per the manufacturer’s recommendation to ensure even application over the treated area.
Use a drop type, rotary type or hand-held application equipment.

Application Timing:

African Black Beetle / Argentinian Scarab: Acelepryn Granular Turf Insecticide may be applied from spring onwards for preventative control of these species infesting turfgrass. The need for an application may be based on historical monitoring of the site, previous records or experiences, current season adult trapping or other methods.
Argentine Stem Weevil / Billbug: Acelepryn Granular Turf Insecticide should be applied when overwintered adults are first observed to prevent damage in late spring. An application at this time will also give excellent control of African Black Beetle.
Caterpillars: Acelepryn Granular Turf Insecticide will provide excellent curative caterpillar control in turfgrass and should be applied when pests/damage is observed.

Restraints:

Do not apply when the soil is saturated with water as adequate distribution of the active ingredient vertically in the soil profile cannot be achieved under this condition.
Do not apply more than 280 kg product per hectare per year in broadcast applications to the turf.

Protection Of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans And Environment

Very toxic to aquatic life.
Do not contaminate wetlands or watercourses with this product or used containers.
