Description
MycoBoost Soil Implants (Active Ingredients: Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), Boron, Copper, Iron, Manganese & Zinc).
MycoBoost Soil Implants are a plant and soil enhancement implant capsule that contains Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and 5 key micronutrients. With MycoBoost Soil Implants, seedlings and plants receive a boost of key nutrients and a boost of AMF simultaneously, increasing the plant’s ability to forage and absorb beneficial nutrients and water. MycoBoost offers seedlings & young plants the optimal conditions for plant health, resilience and yield. It provides better absorption of nutrients and increased water uptake to the plant in exchange for carbon supply.
What is an Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF)?
AMF is a naturally occurring microorganism in healthy soils. It is fundamental to soil health and optimal plant growth. AMF typically comprise around 50% of the fungi in healthy soil. AMF can form symbiotic associations with 80% of the world’s plants and offers an array of important advantages to the host plant, such as:
- Better nutrient and mineral uptake.
- Improved fertiliser efficiency.
- Increased water uptake.
- Increased overall stress tolerance.
- Cannot “over-dose” with mycorrhizal fungi.
Why are the ingredients used in MycoBoost Soil Implants important;
- Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) for increased nutrient and water uptake.
- Boron: for sugar transport, cell division and amino acid production.
- Copper: for photosynthesis.
- Iron: for chlorophyll synthesis & photosynthesis.
- Manganese: for chloroplast production, plant reactions and enzyme activation.
- Zinc: for plant hormone balance and auxin activity.
Why choose MycoBoost Soil Implants;
- Gives plants the very best start.
- An all-in-one plant nutrient and absorption implant.
- Expands root mass.
- Improves soil structure.
- Increases nutrient uptake.
- Increases water uptake.
- Boost of nutrition effect.
- Offers seedlings & young plants the optimal conditions for plant health, resilience and yield.
How do MycoBoost Soil Implants work;
- MycoBoost is inserted into the root zone.
- AMF and nutrients are released from the MycoBoost implant when watered.
- AMF colonises the root zone and extends the hyphae deep into the soil environment.
- AMF forages and absorbs water/nutrients (absorption area increases by up to 50x what the plant can achieve on its’ own).
- AMF delivers water and nutrients back to plant, secretes Glomalin into soil for added soil health, in exchange for carbon from the plant.
- This symbiosis is described as the most important mutualism on Earth.
MycoBoost Soil Implants significantly benefit seedlings & young plants being planted into containers or seedling trays. It can be reapplied in 3 months or if re-planting into a larger pot or the ground. This ensures uniform colonisation of fungi around the plant’s root mass. Over 80% of all plant species rely on mycorrhizae to reach their full potential, with some species like tomato, lettuce and many ornamentals being very dependent.
The earlier in the plant’s life cycle that the roots are inoculated, the better. Inoculating with MycoBoost Soil Implants early can provide the plant with this symbiotic support for the rest of its life.
The basic guideline is this: the smaller the plant at the time of inoculation, the less product you will need to achieve mycorrhizal colonisation.
