Description
Multimin Chrome Injection for Cattle
Active Ingredients: Manganese @10g/L, Chromium @ 5g/L, Copper @ 15g/L, Selenium @ 3g/L & Zinc @ 40g/L
Multimin Chrome Injection for Cattle is a chelated trace element injection for beef and dairy cattle deficient in and/or responsive to manganese, zinc, selenium, copper and/or chromium supplementation. Multimin Plus Chromium Injection for Cattle contains selenium, copper, zinc and manganese, which are required for optimal health, production and fertility. It also contains chromium which has a role in the regulation of glucose metabolism.
Sub-optimum trace mineral status at calving, joining and drying off has been shown to negatively impact production, reproduction and health. Optimising trace element status relying solely on oral supplements is often not possible as a result of variation in individual intake and reduced absorption because of antagonism of other ration components and minerals to these essential trace elements. Using an injectable trace element supplement can improve trace mineral status at these critical times, promoting a healthy immune system, which is important in resisting disease, and having a positive impact on reproduction.
Why choose Multimin Chrome Injection for Cattle?
- Composition: Multimin Chrome injection for cattle contains five essential trace minerals: zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, and chromium. Specifically, it contains 40 g/L Zinc, 15 g/L Copper, 10 g/L Manganese, 3 g/L Selenium, and 5 g/L Chromium as chromium chloride.
- Purpose: It is designed for cattle operations seeking improved performance in young animals by mitigating stress and improving nutrient utilisation, helping them reach peak performance. It is specifically formulated to give growing cattle the boost they need.
- Stress Mitigation: Chromium, a key component, helps to reduce cortisol levels, the primary stress hormone in animals, which in turn helps maintain a stronger immune system. It is ideal for young animals when environmental and handling stresses are highest.
- Nutrient Utilisation: Chromium enhances insulin sensitivity, allowing cells to better utilise glucose, supporting metabolism and immune function. This also regulates fat storage and promotes protein synthesis and muscle growth.
- Optimised Health and Immunity:
- It supports the antioxidant system, protecting cells from free radical damage and increasing antioxidant capacity.
- It helps maintain a stronger immune system by lowering cortisol levels.
- Studies have shown it can reduce disease incidents by up to 60% and reduce mortality by 58% in calves.
- It enhances physical barriers against infection, improves innate immunity and antibody production, and has been proven to optimise immune function and improve vaccine response in cattle.
- It also reduces the severity of various diseases, including subclinical mastitis, endometritis, clinical mastitis, calf scours, calf pneumonia, and omphalitis.
- Optimised Fertility: The five essential trace minerals are necessary in combination for optimising cattle fertility. Multimin has been shown to improve pregnancy rates by up to 12% and first-cycle conception rates by up to 19.4% in breeding females.
- Return on Investment (ROI): Significant improvements in overall calf health can lead to a return on investment of up to 17:1.
- Administration: It is administered as a low-volume subcutaneous injection. It provides faster and targeted delivery of trace minerals, bypassing antagonism in the rumen. It is absorbed into the bloodstream in as little as two hours and reaches the liver in 24 hours, boosting trace mineral levels and providing sustained antioxidant activity for up to 90 days.
- Usage: It is for beef and dairy cattle deficient in and/or responsive to manganese, zinc, selenium, copper, and/or chromium supplementation. It is recommended for strategic trace mineral top-up prior to high-demand periods such as weaning, joining, calving, transport, heat/cold stress, and feedlot induction.
- Market Presence: Almost one in five cattle and one in ten sheep receive Multimin every year.
What role do the ingredients in Multimin Chrome Injection for Cattle play?
