Fendona Plus 60 SC Insecticide is a low dose residual insecticide for control of ants, cockroaches, silverfish, fleas, flies, mosquitos, bed bugs, meal moths and spiders in domestic, industrial, commercial, and public health situations, and the control of litter beetle in poultry sheds.

Fendona Plus 60 SC is a synthetic pyrethroid Insecticide that offers fast pest control from a  low-dose that lasts.

Whether your priority is immediate results or long residual control, Fendona Plus is the synthetic pyrethroid spray treatment of choice for a wide range of both flying and crawling insects. It is particularly effective on hard-to-control pests like spiders, bed bugs and cockroaches, as well as ants, silverfish, fleas, flies, mosquitoes and meal moths.

Directions Of Use

Use Rates:

Areas: Domestic, industrial, commercial, public buildings and around agricultural buildings -including food processing establishments, shops, restaurants factories, ships, offices, schools, storerooms, hospitals, barracks, private houses and external areas associated with such establishments.

Pests: Cockroaches, Fleas, Flies, Silverfish, Spiders, Mosquitoes, Bed bugs, Indian meal moth.

Rate:

  • Initial treatment and heavy infestations: 10 mL in 1 L water
  • Maintenance treatment and light infestations: 5 mL in 1 L water

Critical Comments: For crawling insects, apply as a coarse low pressure spray to areas where pests frequent. For flying insects, apply as a surface treatment using a fine spray to wet the surface. Apply 5L of diluted spray mix/100m2 up to but not exceeding the point of run-off.

For cockroach control, where the use of a spray is not suitable, a registered cockroach gel product such as Goliath Gel or Amdro Gel may be applied as per the registered label.

For spider control, spray spiders, webbings and areas where spiders may hide directly. The treated webs should be left in place for at least 72 hours to increase efficacy, then removed for monitoring or any re-infestation.

For flies and mosquitoes treat surfaces where flies and mosquitoes are observed to rest. For bedbugs treat bedframes, behind bed heads, bedside tables, cupboards cracks, crevices, carpet edge, and skirting boards. Fendona may also be applied to the edges and seems of the mattress, but do not treat the flat surface on which people sleep. An IPM approach should be followed for the control of bed bugs. For Indian meal moth, following removal of any food, animal feed and containers, apply to areas where insects are present.

Rate:

  • Initial treatment and heavy infestations: 16 mL in 1 L water
  • Maintenance treatment and light infestations: 9 mL in 1 L water

Rate:

  • Initial treatment and heavy infestations: 10 mL in 1 L water

Critical Comments:

Treat when litter is being totally replaced remove old litter from shed apply to shed wall ceiling and floor. Do not replace litter until shed is thoroughly dry

Apply 5L of diluted spray mix/100m2 up to but not exceeding the point of run-off.

Restraints:

General Instructions:

  • Fendona Plus 60 SC Insecticide controls insects by contact action and ingestion.
  • When applied as a surface spray, the product offers long residual activity.
  • Fendona Plus 60 SC is of relatively low toxicity to humans and other animals and is suitable for
    use in domestic and public areas.
  • Fendona Plus 60 SC Insecticide can be applied with conventional spray equipment used to control public health pests.
  • To obtain best results, all surfaces should be treated, especially cracks, crevices and infested areas.
  • A higher volume of water may be required on very absorbent surfaces.
  • Apply to the point of run-off only.
  • Shake or invert the container before opening.
  • Fill the spray tank with half the volume of required water.
  • Carefully measure the required amount of Fendona 60 SC Insecticide in a graduated cylinder and add to the spray tank.
  • Top up the remainder of the water and agitate thoroughly.
  • Do not store diluted insecticide.
  • Prepare a fresh suspension as necessary.
  • Clean sprayer out thoroughly after use.
  • To obtain best results, all surfaces should be treated, especially cracks, crevices and infested areas.
  • A higher volume of water may be required on very absorbent surfaces.
  • Apply to the point of run-off only.

Precautions:

  • For surface treatment only.
  • Do not spray using foggers or other equipment designed to create an aerosol.
  • Avoid contact with food, food utensils, or places where food is prepared or stored.
  • Before use – remove or cover all exposed food stuffs; cover all dishes and utensils, and places where food is prepared or stored.
  • After use – thoroughly ventilate treated area.
  • Clean up thoroughly before processing/serving resumes.
  • Cover or remove bird cages or fish tanks during spraying.

Re-Entry Period:

  • Do not enter treated areas until spray has dried.
  • If prior entry is required wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and a washable hat and elbow-length PVC gloves.
  • Clothing must be washed after each day’s use.

Protection Of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans And Environment:

  • Dangerous to fish.
  • Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or drains with product or used container.

Protection Of Livestock:

  • Do not spray directly to livestock or near livestock food or water.

Storage:

  • Keep Out Of Reach Of Children
  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
  • Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.

Safety Directions:

  • Harmful if swallowed.
  • Facial skin contact may cause temporary facial numbness.
  • Avoid contact with skin.
  • When opening the container, preparing spray and using the prepared spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and elbow length chemical resistant gloves.
  • Wash hands after use.
  • After each day’s use, wash gloves and contaminated clothing.
