AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide IMPRESSOR-350 Axichem

Description

AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide is a systemic, soil-applied insecticide containing 350g/L imidacloprid, classified as a Group 4A neonicotinoid. It controls Greyback Canegrub and Childers Canegrub in ratoon sugarcane, Silverleaf Whitefly (including type B) in a range of vegetable crops, and banana weevil borer and banana rust thrips via direct pseudostem injection. This breadth of crop registration across two major pest categories makes it a practical choice for cane growers, vegetable producers, and banana farmers operating across key Australian growing regions.

Imidacloprid is taken up by plant roots and translocated systemically, so it delivers control of soil-dwelling and sap-sucking pests from within the plant. For sugarcane, AC Impressor 350 is applied subsurface behind coulters between September and November, targeting grubs before they inflict yield-robbing root damage on ratoon crops. In vegetable systems, growers can apply it via sub-surface trickle irrigation injection, furrow pre-plant spray, or plant-hole drench to protect capsicums, cucurbits, eggplant, sweet potato, and tomatoes from Silverleaf Whitefly at crop establishment. For bananas, stool injection targets weevil borer in Qld, NSW, NT, and WA, while banana rust thrips injection is registered for northern Qld, NT, and northern WA. Axichem Pty Ltd holds the APVMA registration for AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide under approval number 65585/61087.

Directions Of Use

Click here for AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide directions for use.

AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide is applied as a subsurface soil treatment in sugarcane and as a soil drench, pre-plant furrow spray, or sub-surface trickle irrigation injection in vegetable crops. In bananas, it is injected directly into the pseudostem, undiluted or diluted 50:50 with water. Shake the container vigorously before use, then add the required volume to the water in the tank with agitation in motion. Maintain constant agitation throughout the application. For sugarcane, apply in a minimum of 1.5 litres of water per 100 metres of cane row. Ensure treated soil bands in sugarcane are covered with at least 100mm of soil immediately after application and that coulter slits are fully filled in. Do not expose the applied product to sunlight. In vegetable crops, timing and irrigation management after application are critical. Refer to the product label for method-specific critical comments before commencing any application.

General Rates:

  • Bananas: 2.5 or 3.5mL per stool (Inject undiluted or diluted 50:50 with water)
  • Sugar Cane (Ratoon cane only): 11-22mL per 100m of cane row.
  • Capsicum Or Pepper, Cucurbit, Eggplant, Sweet Potato & Tomato: 14mL/100m or row

Rates Are a General Guide Only. Before opening, carefully read AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide Directions for Use, Precautionary and protection statements, storage and disposal, safety directions and first aid instructions. The product is designed for the particular purpose indicated on the label. Failure to use the product strictly as directed may be illegal, dangerous and render the product ineffective.

Questions and answers from customers

What is the mixing rate of Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide into 200L of water?

  1. Q What is the mixing rate of Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide into 200L of water?
Asked by Nhat tien truong on December 6, 2024 3:16 pm
    Answered by the admin

The mixing rate of Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide will depend on the situation, crop, and pest being targeted. If the application is for a vegetable crop and the rate is 14mL per 100m row length, the mixing rate depends on the output calibration of your spray equipment. If, for example, the spray unit applies 50L of water per 100m of length, then mix 14mL per 50L and apply evenly over the 100mL row.

Tips For Use

Restraints:

  • Do not use on crops produced hydroponically or in glasshouses and other covered situations.
  • Do not apply AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide or any other Group 4A insecticide as a foliar spray after soil application in the same crop.
  • Do not apply more than one application per vegetable crop, per ratoon crop for sugarcane, or per banana crop.

Insecticide Resistance Management:

  • AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide is a Group 4A insecticide. Resistant biotypes may exist through natural genetic variability.
  • Do not rely solely on this product for long-term pest management. Rotate with non-Group 4A chemistry where possible.
  • Refer to district advice for local Silverleaf Whitefly resistance management strategies.
  • For bananas, do not combine with any other Group 4A insecticide in the same crop.

Export of Treated Produce:

  • Maximum residue limits (MRLs) or import tolerances may not exist in all export markets. Check with Axichem Pty Ltd for the latest MRL information before using this product on crops destined for export.
