Description
AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide is a systemic, soil-applied insecticide containing 350g/L imidacloprid, classified as a Group 4A neonicotinoid. It controls Greyback Canegrub and Childers Canegrub in ratoon sugarcane, Silverleaf Whitefly (including type B) in a range of vegetable crops, and banana weevil borer and banana rust thrips via direct pseudostem injection. This breadth of crop registration across two major pest categories makes it a practical choice for cane growers, vegetable producers, and banana farmers operating across key Australian growing regions.
Imidacloprid is taken up by plant roots and translocated systemically, so it delivers control of soil-dwelling and sap-sucking pests from within the plant. For sugarcane, AC Impressor 350 is applied subsurface behind coulters between September and November, targeting grubs before they inflict yield-robbing root damage on ratoon crops. In vegetable systems, growers can apply it via sub-surface trickle irrigation injection, furrow pre-plant spray, or plant-hole drench to protect capsicums, cucurbits, eggplant, sweet potato, and tomatoes from Silverleaf Whitefly at crop establishment. For bananas, stool injection targets weevil borer in Qld, NSW, NT, and WA, while banana rust thrips injection is registered for northern Qld, NT, and northern WA. Axichem Pty Ltd holds the APVMA registration for AC Impressor 350 Soil Insecticide under approval number 65585/61087.
